The technician was awesome, no issues with the actual service. The price however, different story. They advertise $95 to come out but then when they get there its an additional $220 an hour to troubleshoot and that isnt removed if you get repairs. Now to change 1 breaker and 3 outlets ($110 in parts cost) I was quoted $1180. A over 800% mark up for "parts and labor" is absolutely wild. This might be "industry standard" pricing, idk.

Chance was probably the best technician I've ever had. He was prompt, polite, efficient, well spoken, and made us feel very comfortable with the entire process. There was literally no friction and I am extremely happy with the results. He replaced our 16-year-old gas water heater by inspecting, Recommending the replacement, and having the new heater here at my house and install installed within four or five hours. To make room for him, I took our mountain bikes off of the wall, and without asking, he put them back for me. That says a lot, and lets me know that his attention to detail and his Quality and Work ethic is top-notch. Highly recommended.

I used Hoffmann Bros to install a new sump pump and a HVAC service agreement. The service the company provides is very good. The reason for the 3 stars is that they have a new AI phone system that is absolutely terrible and frustrating. It doesn't understand, it goes in an endless loop, and makes it VERY difficult to get a person. All it wants to do is schedule an appointment. I am tempted to drop them simply because it is so frustrating to call them, but hoping they read reviews and and if not replace it, at least upgrade it to the deluxe version.

This review is not related to services provided, but is intended as a professional driving safety concern involving a Hoffman Brothers company vehicle observed this morning on Interstate 40 while traveling from Baxter, TN toward Nashville. I was driving a Hyundai Palisade equipped with factory-installed headlights. These headlights are bright at baseline by manufacturer design and are not aftermarket or user-modified, nor were my high beams engaged. I note this only to clarify that the headlight brightness was not a deliberate action and is outside of my control. I was traveling in the passing lane behind a Hoffman Brothers truck at a safe and reasonable distance. A black Dodge Charger with emergency tags was also present and may help identify the incident. The Hoffman Brothers truck merged into the right lane, I passed normally, and shortly thereafter the truck abruptly merged back into the passing lane behind me, cutting off the Charger and causing it to brake suddenly to avoid a collision. Following this maneuver, the Hoffman Brothers vehicle activated high beams and proceeded to follow extremely closely for several miles. During this time, I increased speed in an effort to create distance, as the situation felt unsafe. After several miles, the truck merged back into the right lane and immediately turned off the high beams. Company vehicles represent an organization in public spaces, and aggressive or retaliatory driving behaviors create unnecessary risk for other motorists. This incident raised concerns about professionalism and roadway safety, and I hope it can be addressed internally to prevent similar situations in the future.

My dishwasher stopped working so I called Hoffmann Brothers to look at it and repair it. The serviceman who showed up made clear that his priority was to sell me a membership to Hoffmann Brothers, not fix my dishwasher. Eventually he told me that my dishwasher could not be effectively repaired and he sold me a new dishwasher. I paid 1/3 down for the dishwasher on the spot and he said that the new appliance would be delivered and installed in a week. It's now been several weeks and I have not seen any sign of a new dishwasher. I call Hoffmann Brothers' customer service line everyday. Everyday someone promises to call me back with an update but no one ever does. Right now they are simply sitting on my money with no sign of a new dishwasher anywhere to be seen. Maybe I am being treated like this because just because I didn't buy a membership when the repairman / salesman came to my home, I don't know. Right now my best hope is just to cancel my order, get a refund, and go buy a dishwasher somewhere else. But even my attempts to call and cancel are being frustrated. The person who answers the phone simply says that they cannot cancel my order and the person who can will call me back. I suggest that you find anyone other than Hoffmann Brothers to work with. They will try to sell you a membership, take your money, never respond to you, and leave you high and dry going forward. Terrible. Update: And by the way, look at the canned answers they post in response to negative reviews. They say that I can reach out to them directly, but that's exactly the problem. No one will ever speak to me on the phone or call me back! What good is their stupid canned answer and invitation to reach out to them? Everyone at this company should be ashamed.
