This family owned & operated paving business, Joes Asphalt Paving came highly recommended to me by many professionals and homeowners throughout middle Tennessee. I’m so pleased and most happy that I choose this company to provide me with such a beautiful parking lot for my small business. When the job wrapped up I was speechless and overwhelmed with satisfaction. I highly recommend their service to any skeptic such as myself. Honest and quality pavers are hard to find. Once your paving job is finished, it better be right! I’m a true believer and beyond satisfied! Rex Fitzgerald (r.Tracy Photography)

Frequently Asked Questions About Joe's Asphalt Paving LLC

What is the distinction between driveway resurfacing and sealcoating?

Driveway resurfacing is a structural repair designed to extend the life of your asphalt surface. The process includes patching damaged areas and applying a new 1.5" to 3" layer of hot bituminous asphalt. Sealcoating, by contrast, is more of a protective treatment, similar to repainting a house. It helps preserve and extend the asphalt’s lifespan but does not correct structural damage. Sealcoating is typically more affordable than resurfacing. Is it possible to get asphalt in colors other than black?

All asphalt starts out black because it’s created by mixing aggregates (stone) with hot asphalt cement. As the surface ages and oxidizes, the color of the aggregate can begin to show through, often giving the pavement a grayish tone, especially when lighter aggregates are used.
