- BMBrandon MilbergerJan 2, 20265.0Outback Construction, Whit Gammon, and Harrison Terry just completed turning our pool and pool house vision into our backyard oasis. Outback Construction and Whit came highly recommended by several in our neighborhood and when I decided to reach out, Whit came to our house the next day to discuss the project. Communication from day one was second to none and that didn't change once the project started. If we ever had a question, concern or wanted to brainstorm ideas, they were not only very responsive but would even come onsite to discuss. We were a little concerned about the budget since we have heard so many of these projects go way over budget, but Whit was extremely transparent from day one. He created a spreadsheet with line items for each part of the project and when a step was completed he would update the spreadsheet with the final cost so we could follow along. This helped us make decisions on splurging or cutting throughout the project. Whit and/or Harrison were onsite basically every day something was happening to make sure things were going smoothly and exactly as expected. The subs they use are high quality professionals and stay on schedule. Getting exactly what we wanted in our back yard was challenging because of odd set backs, shape of our yard and the location of a septic systems but Whit worked with us on several design ideas and assured us he could make it work. And he DID! The way our back yard turned out is better than we could have ever imagined. The flow from the pool area to the firepit area to the patio and to the pool house create unique, distinct areas but also none of the areas feel isolated. He prepared a thorough estimate (which he/we kept to). Not only did he treat our budget like his own, he made sure to surpass all of our expectations along the way! I was very specific on what I needed with different aspects of our project, and he always accommodated!
