I hired Nick with his original company, BONO Flooring, in Boise in October 2023 to install new flooring, build a master suite, and put up a fence. I paid according to our contract, but progress was very slow and the project was not completed by the agreed date of December 22, 2023. I was told the work would resume after the holidays, so I made the final scheduled payments.
In early 2024, the Nick closed BONO Flooring and relocated out of state to Tennessee, and the remaining work did not move forward. I later learned that materials for the bathroom had not been purchased, even though that portion of the budget had been paid. In total, I paid more than $64,000, and none of the contracted work was completed.
Nearly two years later, I still don't have a functioning bathroom.
In July, 2025, I then discovered Nick has since opened a nearly identical company in Tennessee under the name Volunteer Flooring & Design, while refusing to take responsibility for the work he accepted money for and left unfinished.
When I left a review, he told me via text to delete it or he'd ruin my business with fake reviews. Later, he sent another text--this time asking me to take it down--I told him I would consider removing it if he followed through on purchasing the bathroom tile that was never ordered and began taking steps to finish the job. I understood there was only so much he could do from Tennessee, on a job he should have completed 2 years ago, but he could have financed the completion.
For months, I have asked Nicholas to hire a plumber, but have received nothing but excuses--claims that "no plumber would come to my house." I eventually arranged my own plumber, who quoted $8,000-$8,500 to complete the plumbing. Nick rejected the quote and instead claimed he would "hire" another plumber. His version of hiring a plumber was to pay someone $500 to teach his dad how to finish the plumbing job.
As of November 2025, absolutely no progress has been made in the master bathroom. I have been without a bathroom for nearly two years, and Nick refuses to honor his agreement to hire a licensed plumber or finish the job.
