- BSBrandon SchreiberSep 1, 20201.0Would not replace a capacitor that had a 5 year manufacturer warranty that died in less than 2 years. Everyone in the chain from manufacturer down to Fergusun has given me the run around on why they won't replace it. They want me to go through the company that installed it. The company that installed it went out of business, so I'm not able to go through them. I'm more than capable of replacing it myself, I don't want to pay hundreds to have a different a/c company replace the $50 capacitor. Utterly ridiculous. It has a warranty & as a distributor, they're more than capable of simply sending it back & receiving a replacement. But unfortunately, unless you're a licensed member of the racket, they'll shut you out.
