  We just had our regular spring system checkup, and all is well. We’ve met many of Chancey Reynolds techs over the years, often repeatedly, and been satisfied with all. This time we met Lee Haselden. He’s excellent: friendly, prompt, competent and helpful. He asked if we’d had any concerns (we didn’t). Another fine tech from a fine company.

  Cody Wilson was the serviceman who installed a new programmable thermostat for my condo. He was on time, personable, and clearly knowledgeable about his job. He replaced a similar thermostat that was 20+ years old that cost less than $30. A neighbor installed it. The total charge for the new unit was $420. I priced the exact thermostat at Lowes and Amazon for ~ $90 meaning the labor (including service fee) for approximately 1.5 hours was $330. This was too much. I accept responsibility because I agreed to the automatic service fee. I should have purchased the unit and sought an independent installer. My previous H/A installation and maintenance with Chancey Reynolds have been more reasonable. Again, the installation was well done, certainly professional but the price was excessive.

  I am definitely happy that I didn't mess up the 4.9 star rating of this company. I thought I might have to not necessarily give a bad review, but just make people aware. This company does use an AI answering service where I told it exactly what my problem was. The response was yes we can handle it and will send someone out the next day and did. Alex the tech arrived the next day and early which was very good. He reviewed my situation and no, actually they do not handle my situation. I was charged for the service call anyway when I could have been informed of this over the phone the prior day. However this morning Joshua called, apologized and refunded the money. I'm so used to this kind of stuff happening to me I just tend to roll with the punches but this time, a good company, with good customer service practices willed out and I'm grateful. I need a lot of stuff done and now that I'm aware of the services they actually do, I'll be calling again. I even learned a little something about Morel Mushrooms to boot which is a credit to the friendly and personable character of Alex. Thank you all, and have a great day.

  Reece was great and very friendly, and got the job done! The reason for the 4 stars is I don't know who came to look at the HVAC system before the appointed installation, but I wish the duct work was looked at also because once it was all done and everyone left we looked under the house and the duct work wasn't even attached. We had to go buy some special tape and attach it our selves. But we got it done and everything is working great!

  Update 2- Lee came out and did a great job! Answered all my questions and was through Update 1- Service manager is sending a different tech out no charge to provide a better report! Routine check in new home. Tech was nice and answered my questions, but I never received copies of the measurements or pictures that he took. $125 for 10 minutes of work and a 3 sentence report. He also wasn’t able to check something due to weather, but if I had known that ahead of time I would have rescheduled.. May end up amending review depending if I hear back from my email requesting the measurement and pictures
