- TVTheDonFather VideosJul 9, 20255.0Like to give a pat on the back to this business for doing the right thing. We've been a customer for many years and have our unit serviced in the spring and in the fall. This spring we had our usual service with a "good to go" from the tech after he was through. Just a few days later our air stopped working and we had to have Goins come back on a Sunday which is an emergency charge. This was a different tech and he found that the drain line to the unit was plugged and the shut off switch did it's job by shutting down the unit when the pan was full. We were charged for the emergency call and the work done and we didn't make too much of a fuss. Fast forward a few weeks and we got the check in the mail marked "void" and a note telling us the problem should have been fixed initially so even though it was a Sunday call we were not to be charged. Thank you, Aaron Goins, for doing the right thing. We will continue to be loyal customers and would recommend to anyone to use Goins Heating & Air for their home and business needs.
- RRRedneck RadioJun 6, 20251.0They installed AC in my new house 3 years ago. Upstairs unit stopped cooling recently. I called them since they originally installed the unit. Tech came out and diagnosed a bad expansion valve. Maytag has a 12 year warranty on parts so it should have been covered but they said part supplier wouldn't cover it. Part only cost $145 so I thought no big deal. The cost to replace expansion valve should be around $450 parts and labor normally. They charged us $925 for the job. That's unreasonably high charge to fix the unit. Especially since it was supposed to be under warranty. Plus the unit was only a little over 3 years old. It shouldn't be having problems that soon. Feels like we were ripped off.
