So after about a year of owning a 14x16 lofted barn I decided to post this review. I got the insulated version with the steel frame. David the salesman I dealt with spoke very highly of the insulated model stating it typically stays 10 to 30° warmer or cooler then comparable models because of the insulation. Completely not true and I would save your money on the insulated version. I put thermostats in this unit and my other unit which I purchased from a local dealer in Erin Tennessee which is not insulated. The non-insulated 10x20 lofted Barn on average over the multiple cold snaps we have had stays 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the Tuff Shed. The salesman also told me the floors were insulated that was easy enough to see to be untrue when it was delivered but it is what it is. I stopped counting at 20 nails that miss the studs when attaching the walls and this was not done by the people that came out to finish installation as I purchased this directly off the lot. As far as the installers go they were excellent I pointed out all of the nails that were not properly securing the walls because someone didn't follow basic framing and the guys were nice enough to correct what they could. Delivery timelines kept changing and it was delivered in the dark of night and placed improperly because of this so one corner of the building is on the ground one corner is up on one block and the other side of the barn is on blocks about 2 ft in the air. Don't listen to the 24-hour install it took 3 days but that was also partially due to the men having to correct flaws that were previously mentioned. Lastly I didn't notice this until last week which prompted my desire to make the review. I've been locking the door for a year and always check the handle to make sure it's locked. The other day I noticed even if the handle is locked because the lock was not installed properly about an eighth of an inch off when it's locked you can simply pull on the door and it will open right up. That's just crazy. I would shift the lock over but because of how close the misalignment is I would end up tapping into the original holes and obviously that wouldn't work so I would have to raise or lower the handles leaving me with exposed holes from where they currently are. Some of the issues could have been easily addressed by delivering it in daylight not in Pitch Black conditions and the other issues in my personal opinion are just a matter of speeding through installation to force out production. So in a nutshell know that if you're told floors are insulated they are not but you can have it done after the fact if you desire the insulated versions are not as effective in any way as other non-insulated versions and you need to check along your studs for nails that aren't connecting walz correctly and check the alignment of your lock to make sure it doesn't just lock a handle but actually secures the building which is not the case in my situation. I will most likely be buying another one at some point but I will be going back to the local dealership in Erin Tennessee which I have had for 4 years which maintains better temperatures being uninsulated was delivered in a convenient daytime manner without back and forth on when it would be delivered which was the case with Tuff Shed and was wrapped up in less than 8 hours not 3 days. Lastly again I can't speak highly enough about the men that came out to do the installation they were clean professional and had to clean up nonsense like previously mentioned improperly attached walls and trying to level the building correctly because it was just dropped on a slope in the dark leaving them in a bit of a bind. The building is nice but I would not be a repeat customer
