  I have had Homestead do 2 properties this summer and I’ve been amazed how fast they have been able to get everything scheduled and done. All of their work has been top notch and I would highly recommend!

  We have had warranty issues with a shingle company and all I can say is “Thank God For John” His patience and kindness has helped to get us through this process. Just so you know, the shingle issue was in no way related to John’s prior installation. He did an excellent job, he has been very professional and stays on top of things. We enjoy working with John.

  Just my opinion & experience: Very rude, condescending once he saw I was in my 30s and not an old guy. He got out of his truck shoes untied. (Black Hills Exteriors was Much More professional ...night and day difference) Posting this just so others do not get put down by some grumpy man: This was for a job that is now being estimated at almost 200k to 250k I am owner occupant onsite (member of the company). I think it was John the owner of Homestead? Who I met. He was certainly having a bad morning but he does not need to take it out on another person . I do not know who (or what?) would tell him I do not have any right to sign legal papers. That is a damaging statement in my opinion. . Judging people by looks is wrong. . The property is family owned and we are in a transition stage. This has caused a lot of grief being in my 30s in Rapid City trying to hire people/work with banks/contractors. . It is a bad look on our community. . Typical condescending attitude of our area. This causes the young workforce to not stay. We are in need of more competition. Contractors are always looking for elderly retirees to take advantage of. Just my opinion. I do not know if that was the case or this John guy was having a bad morning. . On the phone, he was very polite and helpful. . Upon arrival he saw I was not an old man and his voice immediately changed to sounding tired and testy. . So to add to the condescending part... he printed off black n white photos of samples for non-asphalt shingles. . I was very kind to him even though he made an extremely unprofessional appearance. . Maybe he was embarrassed? . He kind of flipped on me (I am done with this) and I asked what the problem was. . I called him to tell him he should behave like a man and be up front with what is bothering him. It was really weird and awkward.
