  Resident review. Closed August 28th 2025. Let me start by saying Stanley Martin hit it out of the park hiring Shawn and Jay. This does not at all reflect my experience with them as they are wonderful and I adore them. Now to get into the one star review. My taxes for the lot for 2025 (taxes based on lot and flips to being taxed on the home in 2026) were prorated by Stanley Martin. Their correct share is $1009. Stanley Martin gave a credit of $300 for their portion of ownership for 8 months causing my escrow to be short causing my mortgage payments to increase after just four months of residency. Stanley Martin includes at closing a document that states you are responsible for the difference. Look for this and be your own advocate prior to closing to ensure they are paying their fair share and not passing the buck over their customer. As a developer- you know better. Stanley Martin was contacted and has no desire to make it right. I was advised, I signed the paper. I used their financing and their closing attorney.

  Stanley Martin Homes is the way to go! Our experience was professionalism, expertise, and personalized service thanks to Shawn Kessinger and his team. Jay is also part of the team and they are both outstanding. Shawn has great communication skills,efficient and effective work process with a personalized approach. Both Shawn and his team demonstrate care and support and reliable 24/7. We highly recommend Stanley Martin. They employee the best!

  I’m currently renting across the street from this neighborhood. I am hopeful to purchase a home this summer. I love the product and the sales person Shawn, was terrific. Not only did he go over the ins and outs of the home and Nexton but broke down the home buying process for me. It was very helpful as a first time homebuyer who has never done this before. I’m very appreciative of his time and information.

  I came through the community on a whim when visiting relatives - I’m considering relocating. The model home is beautiful and the person working was very helpful (Shawn). He sat with me for quite some time talking through the area and giving advice based on where my work would be located. His knowledge on the area is what impressed me the most and I appreciate him spending the time and giving advice.

  I’m thinking about relocating to SC and if I do it will be with Stanley Martin in Nexton. Shawn was very informative and knowledgeable about the homes and area. Couldn’t have been a better experience.
