I am compelled to write this review to hopefully protect other consumers who might otherwise make the same mistake I made when purchasing kitchen cabinets from Cabinets To Go (CTG) in Murrells Inlet. I'll start by stating how friendly the staff were, when first making the purchase. And while many mistakes were made, I do believe they weren't intentional. So my disappointment is not so much about the staffs' knowledge or politeness of customer interactions, but the # of mistakes made and the missed opportunities for the company to make things right. Mistake #1: CTG didn't include sales tax to the original bill; they called and apologized that I'd have to come up with another almost $800 to cover. Unfortunately, by then, time constraints left me no choice but to pay. Mistake #2: There were 2 design flaws that impacted the final layout and size/# of cabinets ordered. Each side of the kitchen window should have had 24" cabinets. However, a 27" was ordered for one side. Additionally, the layout didn't account for the dishwasher door which couldn't open because it ran into the refrigerator door; and when opened, blocked a cabinet opening. In order for me to fix their layout mistakes, I had to take one cabinet back, and order 2 in its place. MISTAKE #3: The frame on the lazy Susan base corner cabinet arrived broken. It's been 2 weeks and I've not rec'd the replacement. Without the ability to install that cabinet, countertop fabrication wasn't happening; therefore it put the entire project behind. (The reason I paid CTG far more $ than I would have paid Home Depot is bc of timing concerns.) Mistake #4: I requested a wall cabinet spice cabinet; it wasn't ordered. While I will take responsibility for not having double and tripled checked the inventory list to ensure my request for the rack was listed, CTG took no responsibility for the oversight.. they suggest I order and retrofit an almost $300 pullout rack...not the spice rack I specifically requested. Mistake #5: Cabinets were delivered unassembled and, many, without instructions. Drawer bracket assembly was not described at all. All of these mistakes cost me time/$; CTG did little to nothing to absorb the impact....no rush deliveries, no discounts off the originally agreed upon costs...nothing. As a result, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. They claim their prices are better or comparable to big box stores; however they were at least twice as high as Home Depot. I was willing to pay for the sake of delivery time and perceived quality. I'll not make that mistake again.

We walked in to the local store and met a wonderful woman named Lisa Stadlmam. She took the time to walk us through the process of picking out cabinets. She was wonderful. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kitchen renovation.

Buying kitchen cabinets is a time consuming process. A competent cabinet designer is a rare find. Dawn L, at the Murrells Inlet store, is a rock star! Due to personal circumstances, it took several months for us to go from the initial appointment to final design/purchase. Dawn went several "extra miles" and endured several requests for changes over that time with great patience. She had some great ideas/solutions to help us achieve our goals. I highly recommend anyone to visit with Dawn for any cabinetry needs. We are very appreciative of her help.
