Wow you both worked hard and steady and you completed in a timely manner, I was able to keep to my Tuesday schedule!!

Michael seemed very knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. He told me a price but said he could do it for less if I did the work now. He said he gave me a 15% discount. I also told him my husband was a veteran so he was able to give me another $50 discount. My final price was $150 less than the original price. When this happens I feel very uneasy as to whether I was fairly treated. If I didn’t speak up and told him I knew how much the part actually costs, I know I would have paid way too much. I’m not stupid and don’t want to play this game. This is not Michael’s fault, but what he was probably trained to do.
I signed up for their $20/month service, which includes electrical, plumbing, and HVAC inspections. Overall, the technicians who came out were polite and respectful, and they usually arrived in pairs. I did learn a few things from the experience.
First, all of the technicians I dealt with seemed to have limited experience. On the positive side, that may mean they are more likely to follow the book and avoid shortcuts.
That said, my overall impression of the service was not great.
The price is going to be high, and they seem determined to find something to quote, whether you actually need it or not. I also got the impression that there is pressure to upsell. For example, they told me my PRV needed to be replaced and said they were not allowed to adjust it if it was more than two years old. Mine is 5. That would have been a $500 job, but it only needed a simple adjustment, which I ended up doing myself.
Another issue is that they are not truly 24/7, despite what their website states. Try calling after 7 pm, the phone just hangs up. They are also very difficult to get in touch with someone during their regular business hours.
I also do not think the monthly service plan is worth it. I canceled mine after the inspections because I did not see much value. The plumbing issues I already knew about, including a leaking outdoor hose spigot and a leaking faucet, were never even quoted. Instead, they quoted me $2,000 for the next 10 years of tankless water heater cleanings.
Based on my experience, this service was not worth paying for.

We came across Corley a few months ago. They were able to get put furnace up and running, after we lived without it for the prior winter. The other 3 companies, 5 Star Heating and Air, and 2 smaller shops insisted we replace the entire system for 18k to 20k. We know the furnace is on its last leg, but $ 350 later, we had heat! We cannot remember the name of our tech, I apologize. He was great. Diagnosed the issue in 10 min., told us how much to fix it, and less than 40 minutes later we had heat. Today, I had broken a water line in our second bathroom during demolition of the old vanity. Perry Stokes came out and inspected and gave us different options for repair. He rebuilt both the hos and cold water lines. When we decide on our new vanity, he is going to come out and install it! Corley has us as customers for a long time!!
