- APAllen PowersAug 11, 20251.0April of this year, had an alternater replaced, it was suggested that ground wire should be replaced as well and I asked for wiring g harness to be replaced as safety clip had broken. Went home couple weeks later, 4 new batteries, destroyed from slow drain from truck, no power to apu. Returned to see what happened, 200amp blew. Replaced fuse, 10 later 200amp fuse blew, happen twice more. The cause, the scrappy technician who replaced alternator, butchered the wiring when reinstalling alternator and to make things, hooked the wires to the alternator. So, 4 new batteries trashed and 2 in shop bills plus not mention the untold waste of diesel fuel running engine. Huge disappointment that Thermal king of florence allows that kind of workmanship for what they charge. So, I suggest, double checking the work b4 sending you on your way , could be very costly and frustrating.
