Don't underestimate someone because of their gender. I happen to be co-owner of a contracting business for over 20 years. However, I don't disclose that detail when it's not necessary. The guy spoke with wouldn't answer my questions directly. He was dishonest about a couple of things as well but that's another story. I would just appreciate being treated as a customer who has the knowledge of what they're doing and funds to purchase what they want without being treated as though I'm substandard because I'm not a male.
