  Got them from Angi. Asked for an estimate for a replacement. They sent me an email with an invoice wanting payment. Looked at the cost and it was double the cost of another company I called directly rather than through Angi. How many people fall for this scam? I would stay away from these people and Angi.

  Michael and Jeff did an amazing job of resolving my washing machine plumbing concerns within a day of me entering my appointment. Customer service is always A1 with 2nd Wind. Recently, Angel assisted me with correcting exposed wires on an AC unit. I've also had previous HVAC service with a great experience. 2nd Wind is my home maintenance go-to for ease of scheduling, great communication, knowledgeable techs, and always coming at the upper end of the scheduling, if not earlier. They also provide quick diagnostic, upfront pricing, and are a professional and responsive team. Customer service and quality of work allows me to refer them to other locals.

  We had an emergency last weekend during the snowstorm when the heat went out downstairs. The technician responded so quickly and arrived even faster than we expected, given the weather. He was extremely professional, kind, and understanding of our situation. He worked efficiently and clearly explained what had happened and how he fixed it. Thanks to Kyle, our home was warm again in no time. We’re so grateful for his excellent service and would highly recommend him to anyone!

  Had a worker come out to check the blower on our heat pump, it wasn’t blowing . He went checked the thermostat, went outside and check the heat pump, which was not running because the blower wasn’t working and we had turned it off. After all his “checks”. He determined that the blower was bad and we needed a new one. But, it’s expensive and takes about 2 weeks. He also mentioned that the motor is about to go out. Says just be better to get a new unit. By the time we pay for parts and all the repairs it’ll be as much as a new unit five to $6000.. mind you I just bought this house six months ago and it PASSED VA inspection. I guess the technician didn’t think I had any common sense/street smarts. I knew that inspection would never pass if it was a bad unit. I told him I’m going to get a second opinion. He said OK.. Well, here comes Friday. The new guy that I got for the second opinion comes out. Goes right out back to the heat pump, this time my husband follows along and they’re outside talking for a little while. Then my husband and the technician come inside. He says it was a loose wire. That’s it!!!!! he hooked up the wire and it started working just fine. I was completely dumbfounded!!! Not shocked!! I sure hope this review helps that one couple to not get screwed!! Btw we are an older couple.

  I wish I could give more stars. A very good friend and former employee of 2nd Wind recommended them after having issues with a previous HVAC company for maintenance. Art came in and answered all my questions in the most professional way possible. He walked me through everything he was checking and showed me exactly what he was finding. I signed up for their maintenance program on the spot with him and then he even serviced our unit today (that was just "serviced" 3 weeks ago from the previous company and you couldn't tell). I don't know what the previous company did, but Art showed me before and after photos. I KNOW he has our old system working in tip top shape. He wasn't pushy, and he didn't try to sell us something we don't need. I would recommend 2nd Wind to anyone and everyone! Oh and shout out to Stephanie in the office! She was so sweet, understanding and easy to talk to and schedule. Again, THANK YOU!!
