Scheduled an appointment, I stayed home from work for it, waited three hours and they never showed up. When I reached out they said they were busy and we rescheduled for the following week. 8-9am arrival time, I reached out 8:30am when no one was there and I hadn’t heard from anyone. Told they were on the way, two hours later and still no arrival. Only hire them if you want to waste your time.

They were hired to correct problems of another installer and add an additional camera. They immediately corrected the problems and everything has worked fine since then.
Frequently Asked Questions About Electricians R Us - Electrical Services Pawtucket
What is an electrical service upgrade and when might I need one?
An electrical service upgrade involves increasing the capacity of your electrical system to handle more power. You might need one if your home is older with outdated wiring, if you're adding new appliances that require more power, or if you're experiencing frequent circuit breaker trips.
How can I tell if my home needs a generator?
If you live in an area prone to power outages, having a generator can be crucial for keeping essential systems running. Consider a generator if you rely on electrical medical equipment, work from home, or simply want to ensure comfort and safety during outages.
What is the difference between a standby generator and a portable generator?
A standby generator is permanently installed outside your home and automatically kicks in during a power outage. A portable generator is smaller, can be moved around, and typically requires manual setup and fueling.
How do I know if my electrical panel needs to be upgraded?
Signs you might need an upgrade include frequently tripped breakers, flickering lights, the panel feeling warm, or if your home still uses a fuse box. An upgrade is also advisable if you're planning major renovations or adding new appliances.
What is involved in a whole-house rewiring project?
Whole-house rewiring involves replacing outdated or unsafe wiring, bringing your electrical system up to code, and ensuring it can safely handle your electrical needs. This often includes upgrading the service panel, outlets, and possibly adding new circuits.
Are there specific electrical code requirements for installing a generator?
Yes, there are strict electrical codes and local regulations that must be followed when installing a generator. These include proper placement, adequate ventilation, and correct wiring to ensure safety and compliance with local laws.
What should I consider when choosing a standby generator for my home?
Consider the size of your home, your power needs (which appliances you want to run during an outage), fuel type (natural gas, propane, or diesel), and the generator's capacity. A professional can help determine the best size and type for your needs.
How often should I have my electrical system inspected?
It's recommended to have your electrical system inspected by a licensed electrician every 3-5 years, or sooner if you notice any issues like flickering lights, warm outlets, or circuit breaker problems.
Can I install a generator myself, or do I need a professional?
It's highly recommended to hire a professional for generator installation. This ensures the generator is installed safely, meets local code requirements, and operates correctly when needed.
What are some common signs that my home’s wiring is outdated and needs repair?
Common signs include frequent electrical surges, outlets that spark or feel warm to the touch, buzzing noises from outlets or switches, and visibly damaged or frayed wiring. If you notice any of these, it's time to call a professional electrician.
