- JBJohn BOct 31, 20251.0I am a facilities manager with a strong trades and management background with over 40 years experience. Through the years I've dealt with several elevator service companies and up until recently, TK Elevators stood head and shoulders above the rest. About 3 years ago I took over an institutional facility with several elevators and they were under contract with another service provider. At the end of the contract the work was posted for RFP's and TK Elevators was the successful contractor and secured the current maintenance agreement. Since then I have made 6-8 calls to their service dispatch call center only to be extremely frustrated and disappointed due to the lack of comprehension of the English language by the call center operator. Apparently, since the last time I called the TK Elevator service call center a few years ago and today, they have outsourced the work to a company in the Dominica Republic. Out of the 8 calls I've made thus far, only one was answered by someone that I could easily understand, and also didn't need me to repeat the same sentence 4-5 times in order to place a call. And even when the call was placed, I later found out that the information in the ticket was not even close to what I had said. When I brought this to my account manager's attention, he said that I wasn't alone, and this was the common theme with all his customers. For this reason alone, TK Elevators is failing miserably. This must be remedied sooner than later.
