I was dealing with a frustrating short-cycling issue, and another company had already visited three times and had replaced a board (which didn't resolve the problem) and then told me I needed to replace the entire system. Before making such a costly decision, I reached out to PG&E for a second opinion—and I'm glad I did. The owner, Mike Toran, came. He took a thoughtful, methodical approach and determined the issue was likely electrical rather than a system failure. He carefully traced the wiring from the electrical panel through to the system, cleaned and tightened all connections, and ultimately resolved the problem. What really stood out was the attention to detail and transparency. After fixing the issue, they documented system performance and provided clear baseline statistics, even attaching them directly to the unit so I could see and prove that everything was operating correctly. Their honesty and expertise saved me from spending roughly $16,000 on a new system from the first company, that wouldn’t have solved the underlying problem. It's rare to find a company so committed to doing the right thing for the customer rather than pushing unnecessary work. I highly recommend them.
