  If I take time to write a review, its because something was either really good or really bad....As you can see by the 5 stars, my experience was really good..no actually it was so good, well here I am. Joe came to my house within 24 hours of me reaching out, listened to my needs and met them. I was fine with the turnaround time and price he quoted, but pleasantly surprised to get a call pushing my time up. The work was done quickly but thoroughly and I am please. I would recommend Colonial Iron Works to anyone interested in getting work done, especially in the West Philly area.

  The first time I spoke to Joe over the phone, I could tell he knew his stuff. I have renovated three houses over the years so I know a good contractor right off the bat. Joe discussed the minor difficulties involved in installing and interior metal railing and an exterior ones before I had a chance to point them out myself. The ironwork was beautiful. The installation was incredibly fast, well thought out, and flawless. I could not be happier with the work and the service. His company was established by his grandfather in 1923: it is a long established family owned company which is a situation I usually prefer. It is probably one of the best if not the best company of its kind around.

  Joe was amazing! Very good at communicating with me and worked around my schedule. My hand-railing looks amazing and exactly as we described. Within a week and a half he custom made my railing and installed it plus it would have been even sooner if I was free the week he was able to install it. Highly Recommended
