  Mark W. came to provide initial quotes and was very knowledgeable, sat down and discussed all available options and didn’t try to push or oversell anything; only the necessities. Very impressed with the company from this first meeting, and the financing and amazing warranty are a huge plus!

  I always feel anxious when I have a tech come out to our house because they're the expert and therefore they have the upper hand. There was a crack in our fireplace -- and we haven't had it cleaned since the house was built. We were well overdue. While it did take a few weeks to get an appointment, once Anthony got here he was phenomenal. Despite what ChatGPT told me, our fireplace actually was in a steel box -- so the small crack was inconsequential. He did recommend a cleaning & inspection -- which I am happy to have done, and also suggested how to find a replacement grate online inexpensively. Chimney Scientists scheduling and notification system is great, and Anthony didn't take me for a ride. I would absolutely recommend them.

  Sadly, our experience with Chimney Scientist was disappointing from beginning to end. Over the course of 10 weeks, with multiple calls to a manager and two technician visits, we were continually assured that our Hearthstone wood-burning stove could be serviced. We paid $165 for the initial inspection in August 2025 and were told service would follow. Only after weeks of waiting were we informed that they could not service our 20-year-old stove -- something that would have been very helpful to know upfront before scheduling, paying, and waiting nearly two months. When I asked to speak with the president to share our experience, I was told he was not available and would not discuss the matter. While I was refunded the inspection fee, we are now back where we started, two months later, having to find another company on our own. A very frustrating and unnecessary waste of time.
