We used Jeffers & Leek before so I knew who to call when we had our latest electrical issue. They are fair, honest, knowledgeable, skilled, professional, personable, considerate, and great at customer service. We had repaired/replaced the electrical board in our dryer, but the dryer wouldn’t work because the newer board required a different kind of electrical feed into it in order to work. Ed knew what I was talking about immediately when I called J&L initially, Justin diagnosed the issue (damaged wiring) quickly, and Justin and John repaired it perfectly. We needed new wiring from the electrical panel to our laundry room, which is on the opposite end of the house. They came up with the best option (including wire protected with a metal sheath so this wouldn’t happen again) and did a great job installing in the least invasive way (as far as drilling holes). I highly recommend J&L. Once I find a contractor, I can trust, I stick with them.
Nate came out and added an outlet for me for a mounted TV and wired in a smart doorbell for me so I didn’t have to keep charging it. Nate is very professional and does great work. I would highly recommend.

Curtious, Professional, punctual and at great price. Justin was on time, did an excellent job, explained in detail the work that was completed, rectified problems and advised on future codeing work that could be done. This is a company that I will recommend to friends and Family without hesitation and certainly use again !!
The electricians were polite, but they prioritized speed over the safety of my property and health. While my landlord paid for the service, the lack of communication and technical errors were highly unprofessional. I understand that they had difficulty figuring out how to run the new cable, and their plans changed as they encountered issues, but I was right there and they didn't keep me apprised of their intentions.
Lack of Protection & Property Damage:
The job required drilling through the ceiling, but I was never warned so I could cover my belongings. Dust and debris coated both bedrooms and the dining room, including my food pantry, and clean laundry. They didn't bother to move my family photo albums from the top shelf of the closet where they drilled directly above, despite moving everything else.
Most concerningly, my $3k computer was on and uncovered; it pulled dust directly into the fans. My networking devices—including a new $250 modem—were also covered in debris despite me specifically asking if they would be drilling in that spot earlier and being told no. I also voiced my concerns about my hardware prior to drilling. Any debris that gets stuck inside of the modem could prevent proper heat dissipation and result in a shortened lifespan for the device.
Ironically, they did put down some drop cloths, but all of my floors are linoleum, so I am uncertain what that accomplished. The drilled holes were caulked afterwards, but that's easy to clean up and had little risk of getting all over the floor.
Technical Negligence:
When Justin saw the dust on my electronics, he offered to clean them with a Shop-Vac. As an electrician, he should know that Shop-Vacs generate significant static electricity that can fry circuit boards. I declined and used my own anti-static equipment.
The Comcast tech who came later pointed out that the connectors used were poor quality; resulting in possible leaked signal. J&L also installed a 4-way splitter instead of a 2-way, causing further signal loss. Comcast replaced the splitter. J&L also failed to label the new lines at the outside port box as promised, leaving the Comcast tech to figure it out.
Health & Safety Issues:
I have sensitivity to chemicals, including Clorox wipes, and specifically asked Justin not to use them. He agreed, but either failed to tell his staff or they didn't remember. After I moved my belongings back, I suffered a breakout of contact dermatitis. I believe I saw a yellow container resembling those wipes on-site, but was distracted or else I would have taken immediate notice and said something.
Final Verdict:
Justin’s excuse was that "most people aren't around" and don't care. However, I was there and did communicate my concerns, which were disregarded. He saved a few minutes of time by not giving me the opportunity to cover my belongings, resulting in hours of cleaning and potential hardware damage for me. If you use this company, you must be extremely vocal and assume they will not take basic precautions to respect your belongings.
P.S.
Don't identify me if you respond to this review; I wish to remain anonymous. I know that this review is harsh, but others deserve to know what happened. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, but there is no rectifying my situation.
I have learned from this to be more assertive, proactive and vocal. Justin mentioned potential drilling at the start and I should have acted then rather than assume I would be granted the time to act.
FYI, when a company says, "We're sorry you had that experience. This is not normally the case." You should keep in mind 2 things: it's deflecting responsibility by not directly identifying themselves as at fault, and invalidating your experience by dismissing it as an aberration.
It should be more like, "We're sorry we failed you. We will make changes to address the mistakes we made."
I write this preemptively to avoid a corporate soft-speak response.
Also, buy walkie talkies. It'd be far more productive. Why are you yelling through the structure, unable to hear each other?

Kevin & John were punctual, professional, well prepared, and friendly. We expected the jobs to take 7+ hours, and were happily surprised when they finished in less than 6. They double checked to be sure they cleaned up, and explained the work accomplished. We were very pleased with their work. (And we feel safer already!)
