- MHMichael HowardDec 9, 20251.0I hired hinds to install a new oil tank,it had to be put outside. There was no way to put it in the basement. They told me that their oil is treated and doesn't gel. Now here I am 1 degree out side with no heat because it gelled.
- MMMichaelNov 17, 20255.0I contacted Hinds because my furnace was almost 30 years old and I wanted it replaced at my vacation house. I was very concerned that a breakdown during the winter would cause pipes to freeze resulting in additional water damage. I also wanted a company to timely service my system in the event of a problem. Dalton Cooley of Hinds and I met and he recommended a propane heating system to replace my old boiler which included the removal of a 250 oil tank in my basement. I accepted his proposal and he scheduled the installation. On the date he gave me which was a few weeks out, Brad and Matt of Hinds were there at the time agreed upon. Both guys were non stop in not only removing the old furnace, removing the oil in the tank, removing the tank installing the new system including 2 propane tanks. They also installed 3 Honeywell smart thermostats so that I could control the three zones by my smart phone when I'm not there. The total install took 2 days. I did experience a slight glitch with two zones not running one night over the weekend. A phone call to Dalton resulted in one of the guys responding at 8 am on Monday morning and increasing gas pressure that resolve the problem. It's been 2 months since the system has been installed and I'm very pleased since everything is working just fine. I love be able to see/control the temperature via the smartphone application. With the old furnace and oil tank removed, I now have more space in my basement to make a few improvements. Im glad I went with Hinds! Michael Keller
