- TBTravis Bell2 days ago1.0Poor follow-up and execution. Previously had a good experience with window installation but recently had new doors installed. The installation appeared to be quick and easy but the installer was unable to use previous hardware that we were told could be used at time of sales consultation. Installer drilled a hole into the door and left it just filled with caulk. Used old hardware from another door as a temporary fix and said this would be resolved ASAP. I received no follow-up and it took nearly a week to get a call back. They then said they couldn't get a service tech schedule until 2 weeks later. This is inexcusable. I found a screw that would be long enough to put my hardware back in but now I find out that the hole isn't even in line with where it should have been. I would have chosen new hardware if I knew this was going to be an issue. Hardware compatibility should have been discussed at time of sale. The installer should have known before drilling a useless hole in a new door. We were not informed of this until it was too late. Now I am left with a door with a hole drilled through it and no door knob. I now will need a whole new door to fix this error.

Window World installs replacement windows year-round. An average installation will take only one day. Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Since every window ordered is custom-built to fit your home and design choices, manufacturing times vary. Once delivered, the type of window being installed and the type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average, each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
