    We have entrusted RCC to routinely service our boiler for years. Our unit is older, so we choose to go with the membership option they offer. It already paid off this year. When they came out for the routine cleaning and inspection (they were able to come earlier than scheduled) they discovered our flue pipe needed to be replaced. Within a short amount of time they notified us they were in the area and could perform the repairs. We never had to take time off of work to accommodate any of the services because we trust them in our home. Now we have a fully functioning unit, with multiple discounts because of a promotion they were running and a discount because of our membership.

    Wonderful company. All the guys I dealt with were very professional and skilled. I was amazed at how easy the whole process was. They helped me through the whole thing. I work with a lot of HVAC companies in my business and I must say even though I don’t work with Redmond’s they are the most professional I have dealt with!

    On August 26, 2025, RCC was hired by my employer to do an annual furnace cleaning. I told the technician that I personally use another company. He was very polite and informed me that the sight glass on my boiler should be replaced or cleaned. I asked for a quote before any work was to begin. He then found that my igniter needed to be replaced. And, once again, I asked for a quote. Acting on his own, without my permission, the technician tried to take the sight glass off to clean it and it broke. I'm sure he was just trying to help, but nevertheless, HE broke the sight glass. The quote to repair both was over $800. I was shocked as I didn't expect to spend any money that day. This was only to be a cleaning paid for by my employer. I called RCC to ask if there was any way I could make payment arrangements. I was told that it wasn't an option and that I would have to pay now. Again, they were hired by my employer, not myself. There were no discounts of any kind, even though it was the technician's fault. I was told that I was lying because the technician “would have said something if that's what had happened”. I didn't ask him to do anything but clean the furnace and get the two quotes. I contacted my CEO who then called the company. RCC called me and left a voicemail. I was given an explanation on how it works, why the glass was compromised, that the technician “tried to take it off to clean it and broke it in the process” and that “it was good that we caught it now”. I called back and explained the situation again. I was not offered a refund or a discount, even though I did not authorize the repair. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. It should have been MY decision to use my own company for the repairs. Instead, I was forced to pay RCC a ridiculous amount to repair the damage they caused. Since my employer pays for the cleaning, I have informed RCC that from now on, all they will do is the annual cleaning, nothing else. This post is months after the fact. I was so distraught that I needed time to collect my thoughts. I'm still very upset. I researched the cost of the materials. The sight glass, at the highest I've found with fittings, was $170 and the igniter was $121. With the standard “mark-up” on materials and adding labor, the most it should have been was $500. And considering he broke it, I should have only had to pay for materials, at cost. I should NOT have to pay for something that was broken by the technician and done WITHOUT my permission. Accidents happen, but companies should take responsibility for their employees and not accuse their customers of lying. That was not fair or honest. It is a deceptive business practice, and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
