Ace hardware HOME services, was able to send me a professional technician to my home to help fix my problem. Dennis Frankenfield was able to come and assess my situation and fix the problem in a reasonable amount of time. Dennis was friendly, professional, courteous, and very efficient. The Service dentist repaired was a busted pipe in my radiator that was leaking

Smelled gas around the heater. Ace instructed me to contact Peco emergency services first to identify specific source and call back. Peco came quickly and Ace came shortly after I called them back. Service technician arrived quickly and fixed the problem quickly. He was courteous and professional. Entire process only took about 2 hours from initial call to service completed

We used ACE home services twice in January.
Heating system repair:
Our under floor radiant heating system in the kitchen only had not worked since the first season after installation. We had a number of reputable HVAC/ plumbing professionals look at it but they all shook their heads and suggested an expensive split system. We contacted ACE Home Services and are so glad we did! Chris Wilson was not only interested, but positively enthusiastic about diagnosing the problem and looking for a solution. Despite the fact that we had given up and were considering a different type of heating system. He drew up plans and provided several options and did not pressure us to go with the most expensive one. A week later the team of Alex Acevedo and Juan Rodriguez Bernal transformed Chris’s drawings into a heating system that has been working beautifully! We especially appreciated having a warm kitchen given the subfreezing temperatures these last few weeks. Our kitchen went from 58 degrees to a consistently comfortable for us 68.
The entire team was polite, considerate and excellent at explaining the process and what we could expect every step of the way. Each step of this process, from the initial phone call, to the diagnostic visit and the repair phase were timely and accommodating to our schedule.
Clogged Drain: Ken Kulp arrived at the expected time, was courteous and promptly diagnosed our problem. He explained how we could easily solve the problem ourselves at a fraction of the cost, and it worked like a charm! We are grateful to have found a company with technicians who are so interested, knowledgeable and honest. We’ll definitely be calling Ace Home Services again.

The sales team knows how to set up a job right, how to make sure the right equipment for the job, not just defaulting to replacing what is there. We needed a new furnace after really exploring keeping the old one. Others made me feel like I was dumb to attempt to use an old furnace. Curt followed manual J in setup and design and Trong did an excellent install in challenging conditions. Way above the minimum, giving good service a meaning beyond saying yes to me, and sticking with 15 year old wisdom. Most noticeable their whole staff is well trained, and respected me enough to avoid using fear to motivate my decision making. Best of all, the cost quoted was competitive.
Before this, Mooen really explored my furnace issues, isolating and independently testing the presumed failed part. He walked me through all this. Other companies’ techs didn’t probe this far, and even the manuf troubleshooting didn’t identify this procedure. Impressive. It was an older furnace and parts are costly. I didn't wonder if the fix would work, I knew if anything could save it, this was it.
I called in, asking for service on my unit that wasn't keeping up the requested temperature. Service was scheduled.
I called back several hours later as the house had reached the set temperature and was able to maintain the temperature. I was told that this appointment would now be the regular 2x a year cleaning and servicing.
When the tech arrived, he said he was only there for emergency repairs, and was pretty firm about it, which was the opposite of what I was told the previous day.
He then proceeded to argue with me over the different costs, what he was told to do vs what I asked Unique to do, and was generally very short with me when I started asking questions.
He also gave me a very hard time over my air filter, which was dirty, but he was able to change it immediately since I do change it every 2 to 3 months and had a box of them sitting next to the unit. Seems just mean to deride someone who is doing what they were told to do re: homeowner maintenance.
When I finally convinced him to diagnose / check the furnace as it was covered by the same $159 service fee, he balked, saying it could take a while and he a tight schedule.
The whole thing felt rushed and like I was an annoyance to him. Bad experience. Never again.
