- HFHoffman FordSep 25, 20251.0Our HVAC contractor purchased a small RTU from the Trane supply/parts warehouse 2 years ago for our facility. Within the first few months the blower motor failed and was covered under factory warranty... still had to pay labor to install. 1 year and 1 month passes from that new motor being installed and it freezes and fails again. Another new blower motor was installed at our full cost, parts and labor... this 2nd motor lasted 1 year and 12 days and the motor failed again... now we need another motor... this will now be the 4th blower motor on this 2 year old unit. Trane will not step up to help in any way even though there is clearly something wrong with this RTU and eating through blower motors... sticking to their policy of replacement parts are only covered under a 1 year warranty ...again they will not help. Oh how different the HVAC supply industry must be compared to ours where we actually have to take care of our customers. We were also considering new RTUs for our facility, but Trane has no longer earned our trust or our future business.
- HEHannah ENov 28, 20232.0Been waiting on a motor for my mini split since September. It's now November, basically December, and I was told it will be another 8 weeks. Definitely feel like it's just another excuse and it also makes me feel like they are not even trying to resolve the issue.
