It makes this review all the more disappointing, but the quality of our recent commercial basement project left us with no choice. We hired Keith to smooth and coat a basement floor and a wall. We used Keith before, and based on prior experience, we expected the same professional results. Unfortunately, the final product fell far short. The attached photos show the condition of the work, which was not acceptable for the scope of the project, the price, or the standard set by previous jobs completed by Keith and other masons. We gave him an opportunity to correct the issues, but the results were essentially unchanged. Because the work required significant re‑doing, we asked him to acknowledge the deficiencies and adjust the bill so both sides could move on fairly. He offered only a 5% reduction. We did not enter into a contract for tens of thousands of dollars expecting to pay twice to achieve the floor we were promised. Adding to the frustration, we then received a demand letter threatening litigation for 95% of the full amount. We are disappointed in both the result and how the situation was handled. We hope others do not have a similar experience.
