- APAndrea PedersonAug 21, 20251.0We scheduled an appointment with Mr. Shane Kalivretenos for 1 pm at the Amblebroook 55+ Active Adult Living Single-Family Homes on August 16, 2025. We traveled from Virginia, which took two hours, and arrived early. At the welcome center, the courteous ladies provided us with valuable information and escorted us to the model home for our scheduled appointment. However, Shane Kalivretenos was unavailable for our 1 pm appointment due to another commitment with a customer, but he provided us with a key to access the five model homes. After viewing the properties, we returned seeking additional information, but he was still unavailable. Another married couple, who also had an appointment with Shane Kalivretenos, was waiting to meet with Shane Kalivretenos. They recommended exploring Caruso Homes' model homes, which offer incentives on closing costs and upgrades. We received insightful information from sales assistant Marlena McElroy regarding their products, which we greatly appreciate. Following our tour of Caruso Homes, we returned to meet with Shane Kalivretenos, but he was again occupied with another couple. We then took a self-guided tour of the clubhouse, fitness center, and community garden and joined a tour group from the welcome center. They provided information about the HOA, which the builder can supply on a thumb drive. At 5:30 pm, Shane Kalivretenos remained engaged with a customer. Although we were impressed with Amblebroook's facilities, we were extremely disappointed that our scheduled appointment was not honored. We were pleased with what we observed, but we have numerous unanswered questions regarding financial aspects and upgrades. Ideally, we would have preferred to visit on a different day had we known about Shane Kalivretenos' busy schedule. Should DRB Group consider hiring additional staff to accommodate the growing number of visitors? If they are unable to honor appointments for potential customers, how will they ensure the provision of other services?

One of the best decisions I've made to move into the Amblebrook neighborhood.

What a great location also, Gettysburg has so much to see and do, all within a short drive to DC, Frederick, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Virginia, Etc...
