Chris and his team did a phenomenal job with the stucco removal and siding installation, delivering a high-quality job and seamless experience. My home had recently underwent a stucco test as part of the inspection process for the sale of my property. The stucco test revealed the possibility of damage involving the wood underlay as a result of water infiltration from the failing stucco and would require remediation. Chris came out and provided us with an affordable estimate and timeline for completion of the job. Chris and his team were prompt, efficient, and thorough with the entire repair finished in one week.
Stucco today has done an amazing job! I truly appreciate the high level of transparency from Chris, as it has helped to guide us as sellers throughout this process and has served to ease any degree of fear or apprehension expressed by the buyer.

I still believe in miracles I am in awe of the work that Chris and McNamara Masonry Restoration has done for me and my family.
We were in desperate need of work and they came out immediately to give an estimate and set up an appointment to begin repairs. There was a leak coming from 2 chimneys and the stucco on the rear of his house. Chris and his crew corrected the leak and provided a clean professional job. They started the job on Christmas Eve and worked diligently to secure our home from any further water damage as it was set to rain that week. They seamlessly and timely finished on New Year’s Eve and the outcome was beautiful. I still believe in miracles and I am grateful for what the company has provided. Chris was available 7 days a week and always available to answer my questions and concerns, even during the busy holiday season. His crew was clean, respectful and showed pride in each step of the job. I look forward to having more work done, so thank you Chris and your crew for meeting our needs. We will be eternally grateful.

What is stucco, and why is it a popular exterior finish?
Stucco is a cement-based plaster applied to exterior surfaces. Its popularity stems from its exceptional durability, weather resistance, and energy efficiency. Additionally, stucco provides a versatile aesthetic that complements various architectural designs.
How long does stucco last, and what maintenance does it require?
When installed correctly, stucco can endure for over 50 years with minimal upkeep. Routine maintenance typically involves periodic cleaning and addressing minor cracks as they appear.
Can stucco be applied over existing siding or painted surfaces?
Stucco application is possible over certain existing surfaces. However, painted surfaces often necessitate preparation, such as sandblasting, to ensure proper adhesion of the stucco material.
What are the different types of stucco finishes available?
Stucco finishes come in several varieties, including smooth, sand/float, dash, lace & skip trowel, and Santa Barbara. Each finish type offers a distinct texture and visual appeal to suit different preferences.

How do i know if my masonry wall has a leak?
Masonry wall leaks often manifest through visible signs such as water stains, efflorescence (a white powdery substance on bricks), musty odors, or damp areas on interior walls. Prompt identification of these indicators is crucial to prevent extensive structural damage and mold growth.
What causes leaks in brick or masonry walls?
Leaks in brick or masonry walls frequently result from cracked mortar joints, deteriorated flashing, inadequate drainage, or missing sealants. These issues can worsen over time due to weather exposure and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
What methods are used for masonry leak detection?
Professional masonry leak detection employs various techniques, including visual inspections, moisture meter readings, infrared thermal imaging, and pressure testing. These methods allow for precise leak localization without unnecessary demolition.
Can masonry leaks lead to structural damage or mold?
Unaddressed masonry leaks can indeed result in structural damage and mold growth. Persistent moisture can weaken mortar, cause brick spalling, and create an environment conducive to mold proliferation, potentially compromising both structural integrity and indoor air quality.
How can i prevent future leaks in my masonry walls?
Preventing future masonry leaks involves several proactive measures. These include scheduling regular inspections, repointing mortar joints as needed, applying appropriate breathable sealants, and ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of flashing and drainage systems.
