⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stucco Remediation - Exceeded Expectations!
I am writing this review with immense satisfaction after Stucco Today completed a full stucco remediation of the entire front side of our home. From start to finish, this was a five-star experience, and I would recommend them to any homeowner without hesitation.
We received several bids for this significant project, and Chris McNamara stood out immediately. He provided a comprehensive and competitive initial quote and was incredibly transparent and willing to work with us to ensure the project met our budget without compromising on quality. His communication was flawless—he was always accessible via email and quick to answer any questions we had throughout the process.
The work itself was executed to the highest professional standards. The crew was clearly knowledgeable in proper masonry and stucco remediation techniques. They didn’t just patch things up; they ensured the underlying issues were addressed to prevent future problems, giving us complete peace of mind.
I was particularly impressed with their respect for our property. Before starting, they meticulously covered and protected our landscaping. Our large front bushes and the outdoor A/C unit were fully shielded from dust and debris, which showed a level of care and foresight that we truly appreciated. The worksite was kept clean and organized every single day.
Furthermore, the crew was fantastic. They were personable, professional, and a pleasure to have around. They worked diligently, maintained a positive attitude, and were courteous whenever we interacted with them.
The final result is fantastic. The front of our house looks better than we could have hoped, and we are confident that the quality of the work will stand the test of time. We are so satisfied that we know the future buyers of our home will be equally pleased, with no concerns about the integrity of the stucco.
If you need stucco work, do not hesitate to contact Stucco Today and ask for Chris McNamara. They deliver on their promises with superior craftsmanship, outstanding customer service, and true professionalism.
Highly recommended!

Chris M and the team at Stucco Today came through for a needed stucco remediation. I tried other companies in my area but they all lacked in either communication, estimates, or ability to start a project. Chris has been very prompt in communicating with my wife and I to set up estimates, what would work best for our house, project timelines, and following up after project completion. The workers were diligent in completing the project through all weather conditions and weekends if needed. Our house and property was prepared for the work and the crew thoroughly cleaned up at project completion. I’m glad I found Chris and the Stucco Today crew, we love the final result and would recommend their services. Thank you Chris and team!
Update: After a couple months and several heavy rain storms, there has been no issues or leaking as was experienced before the stucco was replaced. Many thanks to the Stucco Today Team!
What is stucco, and why is it a popular exterior finish?
Stucco is a cement-based plaster applied to exterior surfaces. Its popularity stems from its exceptional durability, weather resistance, and energy efficiency. Additionally, stucco provides a versatile aesthetic that complements various architectural designs.
How long does stucco last, and what maintenance does it require?
When installed correctly, stucco can endure for over 50 years with minimal upkeep. Routine maintenance typically involves periodic cleaning and addressing minor cracks as they appear.
Can stucco be applied over existing siding or painted surfaces?
Stucco application is possible over certain existing surfaces. However, painted surfaces often necessitate preparation, such as sandblasting, to ensure proper adhesion of the stucco material.
What are the different types of stucco finishes available?
Stucco finishes come in several varieties, including smooth, sand/float, dash, lace & skip trowel, and Santa Barbara. Each finish type offers a distinct texture and visual appeal to suit different preferences.
How much does stucco installation cost, and what factors affect pricing?
Stucco installation costs typically range from $6 to $12 per square foot. Pricing variations depend on several factors, including the size of the project, the chosen finish type, and labor costs in the area.
How do i know if my masonry wall has a leak?
Masonry wall leaks often manifest through visible signs such as water stains, efflorescence (a white powdery substance on bricks), musty odors, or damp areas on interior walls. Prompt identification of these indicators is crucial to prevent extensive structural damage and mold growth.
What causes leaks in brick or masonry walls?
Leaks in brick or masonry walls frequently result from cracked mortar joints, deteriorated flashing, inadequate drainage, or missing sealants. These issues can worsen over time due to weather exposure and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
What methods are used for masonry leak detection?
Professional masonry leak detection employs various techniques, including visual inspections, moisture meter readings, infrared thermal imaging, and pressure testing. These methods allow for precise leak localization without unnecessary demolition.
Can masonry leaks lead to structural damage or mold?
Unaddressed masonry leaks can indeed result in structural damage and mold growth. Persistent moisture can weaken mortar, cause brick spalling, and create an environment conducive to mold proliferation, potentially compromising both structural integrity and indoor air quality.
How can i prevent future leaks in my masonry walls?
Preventing future masonry leaks involves several proactive measures. These include scheduling regular inspections, repointing mortar joints as needed, applying appropriate breathable sealants, and ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of flashing and drainage systems.
