The work that was done was unnecessary. I was charged for something that didn’t even need to be done. Then I was told I would have to pay more money to complete the unnecessary work. I contacted the original contractor that installed the system and was told that it is under warranty.

The technician Ed, was very helpful! Arriving within just a few hours after calling same day! He made quick work gave me options and was very happy to answer all my questions. Also the A.I. call assistant was not terrible compared to some, I spoke as clear as I could and it responded correctly. Will continue to use T.E. Spall in the future.

We are SO glad that we called Spall when our entire HVAC system needed to be replaced. They were prompt with an appointment for a consultation (which we needed with the weather getting cold), and their level of customer service was top notch! We instantly felt comfortable with our consultant, Rob, and knew we had made the right choice when he took the time to fully explain the process and the cost breakdown, as well as the warranty and service schedule. We never once felt like it was a scripted sales pitch, which was so refreshing! We would 100% recommend Spall to anyone needing any HVAC services. They are truly the best in the business!!!

This review is regarding my appointment to have my furnace serviced on Friday, October 24, 2025. I have used T.E. Spall & Son in the past and had a good experience. This time, I booked my furnace service a month in advance and took time off work to be home during the scheduled window.
When the service technician arrived, I took him to my basement. Upon seeing my furnace, he informed me that he had never worked on a unit like mine before. He then went outside to call his manager for assistance. When he returned, he told me that he would need someone on the phone to "walk" him through the servicing because of his lack of experience.
I felt uncomfortable with this situation, as I have a wife and child at home, and I found it unsafe to have someone who was unfamiliar with my furnace being guided over the phone. I kindly declined the service. I was assured that they would reach out to schedule a new appointment with a more experienced technician.
However, I never received that call. Instead, I received a text asking about how my appointment went, to which I expressed my concerns, as outlined in this review. Despite my feedback, no one has contacted me since. I waited two weeks to be contacted before leaving this review, in fairness, to see if they would address the situation.
I understand that the technician was a younger individual and is likely still gaining experience. However, I don’t understand how you could send him out on his own to work on furnaces that could potentially put people in danger without having him shadow someone. Additionally, charging full price for inexperienced technicians seems inappropriate.
In a time when the cost of living is rising, I expect professional and fair service. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
