- RRRomie ReichelNov 28, 20255.0My gas furnace stopped working Thanksgiving night. It was recommended I call TE SPALL for emergency service. They had a technician out to my house 8:45 the following morning! This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a company. The technician, Mr Ed Fuller, was kind, polite, and INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. He explained the problem very clearly and also explained all the services TE SPALL offers. I was so impressed with his intelligence, ability, kindness, and the service packages offered that I signed up immediately. I’m happy to know that there is a local company with such high caliber employees.

Ran a test said it was a blower fan, except it wasn't dead, maybe a little over. But that's not why the system isn't working. Offered to wave the "diagnostic fee" separate from the call out fee. But wanted authorization for a misc fee (of more than the diagnostic fee) to look into it more. Because his diagnosis was WRONG. Incredibly frustrated to have wasted the entire day for someone I wouldn't trust to sell used cars to an enemy.

Three times I had to call and three different men all claiming to be the best in the area, but no one could stop my bathtub from leaking into my kitchen for 7 weeks my kitchen had been ripped apart over this. Thanksgiving is in 3 days and I have a room with a refrigerator and nothing else for a kitchen. ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE!! The last "plumber" here said "I just paid $20 the get certified, now I'm a plumber.".... Do not let these people in your house!! They don't even keep accurate notes for the next guy. This has been nothing but nightmare fuel!!! I've retained a lawyer! I would add photos but the system won't let me, perhaps it's because I'm leaving a 1 star review...

John went above and beyond to make sure he DIDN'T leave my home until the job was FULLY COMPLETED! He explained everything he was doing and so much more throughout the process. I can't say enough about him and/or the patience he has. Thank you, John! Call Spall and ask for John! I've used Spall in the past for a shower repair.
- ABAdam BelvedutoNov 5, 20251.0This review is regarding my appointment to have my furnace serviced on Friday, October 24, 2025. I have used T.E. Spall & Son in the past and had a good experience. This time, I booked my furnace service a month in advance and took time off work to be home during the scheduled window. When the service technician arrived, I took him to my basement. Upon seeing my furnace, he informed me that he had never worked on a unit like mine before. He then went outside to call his manager for assistance. When he returned, he told me that he would need someone on the phone to "walk" him through the servicing because of his lack of experience. I felt uncomfortable with this situation, as I have a wife and child at home, and I found it unsafe to have someone who was unfamiliar with my furnace being guided over the phone. I kindly declined the service. I was assured that they would reach out to schedule a new appointment with a more experienced technician. However, I never received that call. Instead, I received a text asking about how my appointment went, to which I expressed my concerns, as outlined in this review. Despite my feedback, no one has contacted me since. I waited two weeks to be contacted before leaving this review, in fairness, to see if they would address the situation. I understand that the technician was a younger individual and is likely still gaining experience. However, I don’t understand how you could send him out on his own to work on furnaces that could potentially put people in danger without having him shadow someone. Additionally, charging full price for inexperienced technicians seems inappropriate. In a time when the cost of living is rising, I expect professional and fair service. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
