Me and my wife built a new DRB home in 2024. The builder did not give us any options to modify the kitchen design to what we ultimately wanted. Through some research, we discovered that DRM contracted Sims-Lohman for the kitchen components used in our build. Since we just wanted to "add" to what we already had, we reached out to Sims-Lohman and scheduled an face to face appt at the Bridgeville store. We met with Tim Smith at the store and shared with him our vision along with a budget. He listened to everything we were looking for and was able to expand our kitchen using the same cabinet design. As I shared with Tim yesterday when we talked, we are absolutely blown away with the end results. While Sims does not install cabinets, the package they put together was so comprehensive, I was able to install everything but the granite myself. He provided us with a CAD rendering that included the part numbers of all of the components. Every little piece of trim was included and marked on the diagram. The cabinet package was delivered on time and met our budget limit. We were looking for a very specific design and Tim came through. My question is, who would ever go to a big box store when you can get personal service with follow-up? It was a great experience and kudos to Tim Smith for his customer dedication and personal touch.

Fantastic process from start to finish! So so happy with our beautiful kitchen. We worked with Kortney throughout the entire process. She was extremely detail oriented, knowledgeable, and helpful with design decisions. She spent one meeting alone (over 3 hrs) with us just to configure the location and type of shelving and drawers we wanted based on our cooking style. Not to mention she is one of the kindest people to work with! The company and Kortney worked with our contractor seamlessly to install everything. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them.

This review is kind of a long time coming, since our cabinets/countertops actually got installed last year but I wanted to include a picture, and without the other finishing touches it just couldn't do this gorgeous kitchen justice. I assumed that I couldn't afford a "designer" and started my kitchen redesign journey at Lowe's and Home Depot like most folks. I ran into a lot of issues with them measuring incorrectly and not really providing the guidance I needed, so I posted online in a Facebook group to ask for recommendations of where to get that type of help. By my luck, a kind woman named Jessica replied that she worked at Sims Lohman and would be glad to help me. We began to message and I soon discovered that the cost at a place like this was actually about the same as Lowe's/Home Depot, but with WAY MORE HELP. Our totals for the cabinets, countertops, and materials ended up being right around the same amount, but the level of detail and responsiveness and know-how that was shown at Sims Lohman, specifically by Jessica who I ended up working with the entire time, was priceless to me. She helped me to consider all of the small details and had so much great advice to give. I really struggled to choose the colors and worried that things wouldn't match, and she actually met me at a store to help me find the most complimentary flooring to match my cabinets/countertops - and brought samples to help us pick. It was just a wonderful experience from start to finish. Jessica was forthcoming about every detail or delay (not her or anyone's fault, just supply chain issues), and any issue we ran into was dealt with swiftly and professionally. I'd recommend this place to anyone struggling with where to begin on a kitchen remodel - I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. I hope I don't need to replace it again anytime soon, but when I do I know where I'll be going. By the way, Jessica informed me that she since moved to the Columbus store, no longer in Pittsburgh, so they're very lucky to have her!

We had our granite countertops installed 2.5 years ago and today our under mount sink has detached from the granite. This should not happen and is definitely a fault of the installer, Cody Darrien. We will be calling the store tomorrow to see when they can come out and fix this major issue.

My experience with Sims-Lohman lasted more than 9 weeks when it should have been completed in 3. Starting back on July 19th, we discovered that the slab we bought back in March was no longer available and it was unknown when it would be available, if ever. I had to take a day off to travel to the Cosentino warehouse and see the recommended comparable slab only to have the wrong slab show up at my house over a month later. After two more weeks of a back and forth communication with Sims-Lohman and Cosentino, they agreed to give me what they showed me at the warehouse after trying to charge me "2 tiers more in price" when they said the price was comparable to the original slab I originally purchased. Heather at Sims-Lohman tried to tell me that our 2nd choice was a "Home Depot Exclusive" and our order was through Lowes so we couldn't get it but Veronica at Cosentino said it was available to us. Apparently Heather doesn't check the available options for slabs more than once every 7 years which is how long she has been in the business. Her demeanor started off professional until we had issues with the slab that arrived to install, then she got really defensive and would hardly let you get a word in. I got the impression that her Dad owns the company with how her attitude changed. After another month of waiting for the error to be corrected and the right slab to arrive, we finally had our counters installed on September 24th, after they had to change the install date again from the 23rd for whatever BS reason they gave me. I had to take the day off from work on the 23rd for the install so I wasted another day off for Sims-Lohman. Luckily my wife was available for the 24th install date. The installers were great and professional, very apologetic towards my wife and they shared a laugh over the note the received from their schedulers stating that the client was "not happy" with the change of schedule. Overall, the installers are 5 stars, Heather and the rest of the company is a soft 1 star. I have 2 coworkers and 1 neighbor that shared their own horror stories about Sims-Lohman only after I shared my own. Had I known their stories I would have entertained a different option. Don't let this review dissuade you from choosing Lowes as your remodel option either, Lowes was very helpful and professional throughout this process as well, it's just too bad they do business with Sims-Lohman and Cosentino as their partners.
