  The carpet and padding were the type and quality that we discussed. The "installers" ended up being a single fellow who was at my house for 7 hours or so. He did a fine job but it would have been nice to have multiple people so that the project took much less time.

  We had new carpet installed before thanksgiving. I did all the furniture moving and tear out of the old carpet myself. Their installer did a fantastic job! Our old carpet was probably from the 70s or 80s so it was a huge improvement. The installer asked important questions like whether or not we wanted the carpet to wrap down over edges of steps (some of our bedrooms have one step down into them). 1 large living room, a staircase, and a hallway took them about 6hrs: not bad! I have no complaints. The price was good and the work was done very well.

  We have used Garvey's for some of our rental properties and when we needed carpeting in two more, we went back to them as they had done a first rate job for us before. We placed the order and the carpet was installed. The first house was a bust. The carpet was about as thick as cardboard and the padding not much thicker. Clearly not what we had used before or what we ordered. Contacted them and they said it looked like someone changed the order (sure wasn't us) and that was it . . . no "we will look at it" or something to adjust what they installed. Poor quality flooring at prices above what Lower's or Home Depot would have charged. The second property was thin as well and poorly stretched. Again, no action on the part of Garvey's. So as they say, a reputation takes time to build but seconds to destroy. In our book, we will go anywhere but Garvey's for future flooring. As a side note, a co-worker said his sister had issues with the quality of LVP flooring and received no satisfaction from Garvey's in trying to resolve it. Think twice before buying here . . . other local options are available.

  After having a not great experience with one of our larger stores I am so glad I went to a local Family owned store! Great personal attention with picking out carpeting..financing...and our 3 installers were the best! It was chaos doing an entire house at once..but they made it work and did a great job!! Absolutely love our new carpet! Definitely dont hesitate to pick Garveys!
