  They forgot about my order and failed to contact me multiple times. Seems like they don't care about their small customers. Update: got my order finally so 2 stars

  Customer service was good out of the gates. But, when my clear cedar was delivered not clear, getting it replaced was a hassle. Sit on hold, promised emails and call backs never materialize etc. I really wanted to praise this business after our first interaction, but like most businesses of this type lately, once they have your money the customer service seems to go out the window.

  As many have noted already, the wait time for will-call orders is ridiculous. It's been an hour so far, and they're not busy at all. Any other yard would have it out in 30 minutes if they're slammed. The only reason we use them is for their high quality materials, but really?

  Lakeside Lumber has an awesome selection & amazing staff. They generously donated materials to make several 4’ long Moxon vises. These were needed for a hardwood mallet workshop where ~140 mallets were made by youth learning about woodworking. We had 12 stations with vises. The Moxon vise is 1700’s technology that allows for variable gripping angles - it enabled 2 kids to work in their own mallets simultaneously despite their mallets being different sizes. This was a huge win with limited budget money.

  I ended up going through Lakeside Lumber for all materials in a recent decking project. Originally, I had started my bidding process through another local lumber supply company but after struggling to get timely response to questions and updates to my quote I searched other options in my area and found Lakeside. Not only were they extremely helpful and responsive, but their pricing came in about 15% cheaper. Overall, I'm was very impressed with their service. Also, huge call out to Chava, who was incredibly helpful and responsive. He answered all my questions (and there were a lot) and was always quick to reply when I need to make updates or additions to my order.
