I don’t often write reviews unless it’s to give a positive one. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here and would likely not use them again.
I scheduled an appointment to have my HVAC system inspected, primarily the flex ducting and its connections. I was under the impression this would include a thorough evaluation, including internal inspection with a scope camera, external crawlspace assessment, and possibly airflow (CFM) readings at the registers.
I work 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and couldn’t be present for the appointment, which is not ideal. However, my wife and I have been without heat all winter, and she is pregnant, so I needed to get the process moving regardless.
On the day of the appointment, no one contacted me before, during, or after the visit. When I got home, I wasn’t even sure anyone had been there. I had to wait until Monday morning to call and confirm whether a technician had even come out. It honestly felt like if I hadn’t followed up myself, I may have never heard anything or even received an invoice.
When I did speak with someone, she was polite, but appeared to be relaying secondhand information, assuring me everything looked fine despite not being the technician. I explained I work in healthcare and can’t always take calls, but asked if the technician could reach out. I did miss his call, but in my opinion a written report, email, or even a voicemail left on Friday would have made far more sense while everything was still fresh.
Later, the GM Dave called. Initially he seemed helpful, but the interaction felt more like damage control than a genuine attempt to address the situation. No real apology was offered, just that he would “investigate it.” He also informed me that a scope camera was not used, only the technician’s iPhone. Around the same time, I received via email a small handful of iPhone photos from the crawlspace.
The photos were limited, not comprehensive, and did not reflect a full inspection. Based on my own experience crawling under the house, it did not appear the technician accessed the entire crawlspace. There is a very tight pinch point that not everyone can fit through, and the photo locations suggested only partial coverage. There were also no photos provided of the inside of any registers.
More concerning, obvious issues were missed, such as an open duct near the crawlspace entrance and insulation where it should not be present near the floor registers. These are issues I already knew about from a prior poor installation and reasonably expected to be identified during a professional inspection.
What was especially frustrating is that I had to send my own personal photos before receiving any meaningful feedback. Only then did Dave begin offering more detailed input, even stating that some of the workmanship looked like it was done by a handyman. That level of insight would have been expected during the initial inspection, not after the customer provides their own evidence.
Overall, I am not confident in the quality or thoroughness of this inspection. It felt rushed, incomplete, and poorly communicated, yet I am still expected to pay $90. Given the lack of communication, limited scope of work, and missed issues, I do not feel that charge is justified.
Additionally, the conversation began shifting toward promoting their duct cleaning services, which felt inappropriate given the situation. My final message was also left on read with no response. There was also confusion about the discount, whether it was a military discount like I was told or simply a courtesy, which did not add to confidence.
At this point, I would have preferred a more thorough inspection, clear communication, and a basic level of follow-through. Without that, it is difficult to justify the cost or feel confident in the service provided. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future customers have a better experience. I could add photos, but it is unnecessary.
