  Called Alchemy because we had water backing up in a downstairs shower. Daniel and John did a quick inspection and gave three different estimates. We chose the less expensive one which was snaking the shower. After that did not work, they thought the problem was in the sewer line. Turns out that was the problem. They flushed the line and we ran water, ran washing machine and flushed toilets. There was no back up. Daniel kept us informed along the way and gave estimates for the extra work before proceeding. We would definitely call Alchemy again.

  John was on time, thorough in his work, and did a great job. I have pvcp piping and hate any job where I have to mess with it. After a nightmare event with a washer repair man that ended in months of repair work from the pipes he broke, it was worth every penny to have Alchemy complete the new task. The piece of mind knowing I had a licensed plumber on the job was priceless. Alchemy communication was prompt and continued throughout the entire process, from scheduling to completion. I would highly recommend them and will use them again with confidence. Thanks, John! Nice work.

  We had a great experience with Alchemy. We originally scheduled an appointment for a Friday, but our other project finished earlier than expected on a Tuesday, and they were able to squeeze us into a next day appointment on Wednesday with no issues. Tye and Spencer showed up and worked efficiently and fixed an issue that was not known to me from the other project. Great work, great employees, and a great job.

  Josh and Christian were amazing! Josh took time to explain everything to me so that I could understand the problem, and also, what to expect for the repair. From the bid to the execution of the work, everything was flawless. I needed a main line water repair from the street to the house. Josh was very clear about pricing, options for repair vs replacement, and making me aware of all of the steps needed to get the project completed (the utilities finder, permitting, work and final inspection). They organized all of the details and communicated at every step. Josh was personable, professional and clearly an expert at his craft. They cleaned up incredibly well afterward, as if they were never here. I would 100% recommend Alchemy Plumbing to anyone looking for a plumber!

  Two stars for quick and easy scheduling. Everything else about our interactions were quite frustrating. This was my second and will be my last time using them. The technician (only a single tech, no apprentice) quoted $1000 for repairing leaking toilet internals, which cost me a sum total of $30 in parts and took me (no plumbing/toilet repair experience) an hour or two to do. He more strongly recommended replacing the otherwise perfectly fine toilet (no chips, cracks, etc) for $1400, even though we told him we were planning renovations in a few years and just need to squeak by until then. They charged over $400 just to replace a single cutoff valve for the toilet (which I won't do myself), when another plumber recently replaced two cutoff valves in our kitchen for only $250. The exorbitant "flat rate" system they try to sell you on only serves Alchemy's interests. It's not fair for both parties. If you can afford Alchemy, they will get the work done quickly and probably do a great job. If you need work done for a fair price, or like me you could do it yourself but would rather save your weekend for something more fun, then read the other lower score reviews - they are not for you. Maybe they have a lot of wealthy clients who can pay a premium. But for the general public, there's no way they deserve or have earned 4.9 stars, like many other businesses they seem to have figured out how to rig the review system. I'm sure they will give a several page response below, like they have other negative reviews, showing numbers and making complex and unreliable claims about the hardships of owning a business. I recommend taking it with a grain of salt.
