    I called Roth for electrical help. The technician came and he was fine. But he spent about 1.5 hours at my house troubleshooting a few outlets that did not have power. He also installed a GFCI outlet (inexpensive part). At the end, he handed me an invoice for $883! Seriously? A part I could get from Home Depot for $40 and 1.5 hours of work. I asked him what his hourly rate was and he just said that Roth quotes jobs and does not provide a breakout between parts and labor. I paid him but told him I was very dissatisfied with the price. I then called Roth to express my dismay and asked the person to have a Roth manager to call me back to explain. The person said I would get a call back but never did. What makes me even more disappointed is that in the last 3 months, I have purchased a new HVAC system from Roth and new water heater. So after all the business I have given them, I feel like they are taking advantage of me with such a charge on a relatively simple job. If someone at Ross wants to call me and explain how they came to this price and why it makes sense, I am happy to have that discussion but right now I have a very bad taste in my mouth.

    My wired smoke alarm system went out causing very loud and very annoying beeping. Unable to disarm the system I called Roth Home and they were able to send David Anderson out the next day. He was able to stop the beeping within minutes. He became a Roth hero instantly. He has excellent communication skills and since the system was several years beyond expiration discussed replacement options. Once decided, he acquired the needed units and had the system replaced in 25 minutes. Another exceptional Roth tech!

    Stephan (JR) Hanson was absolutely fantastic! He was quick to respond, showed up on time, and got the job done efficiently. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and was completely honest about what was needed. It’s hard to find someone so reliable and straightforward. I highly recommend JR to anyone looking for a skilled and trustworthy electrician!

    I rarely write a review. This seems like the only justice I will get with this company. Big job involving permits and power company and tenants not having stable power. I called Roth prob 6 or more times regarding permit. Was told 4 times I had to set up an acct with the power company before they could get permits. This was not true which the power company confirmed 4 times. Called Roth back and left a messages daily with no call back for more than a week. They failed to reconnect a freezer losing 400.00 in food. Was told they would cover that for my tenant but only after I paid them. New issues surfaced at which they refused to come investigate unless i paid them in full for a job I wasn't happy with. I paid them under duress nearly 8000.00 so they would come fix whatever was wrong with the work. They charged my credit account 300.00 to come out never disclosing that to me and the tech said work should be no charge as they missed something only to get a quote of nearly another 1000.00 stating work that wasn't part of their original bid. Pretty convenient since they never fully detailed the scope of work in the original bid. I will pay anyone else before I give one more dollar to this company. Positive their techs in the field are great to work with polite and know their job. Sad the company they work for is giving them a bad rap.
