My wife contacted Roth Home regarding a bathtub drain clog. My wife was informed it would be over $130 just to have a technician dispatched to our home if we elected for them not to provide any service on site. Upon asking what their general service charges are, the person on the phone was unwilling to give that info.
So we authorized a technician to come out and inspect the job. Upon inspection completion, the technician showed me 3 different charges depending on severity of the clog.
The technician then states the lowest he was willing to charge is $553 and change.
I know that price is a complete ripoff. The technician also informed me that they charge flat rates for services. That tells me the representative on the phone knew what they charge but chose not to disclose that info to trap us into the dispatch charge at a minimum.
Regardless, we went ahead and had the technician complete the job. He used a snake through the bathtub overflow pipe to clear a small hair clog. No camera scope, no difficult scenario by way of needing to remove any pipe to access anything. I already had the overflow cover removed prior to the technician arriving.
The technician completed the job and cleaned his mess. I paid and he went on his way.
Over $553 for a simple clog removal without complexity or use of equipment beyond the snake.
For $553, Roth Home lost business from me moving forward. In good conscience I cannot recommend them to anyone.
Kindest regards and good luck.

Roth Home sent out a plumber, Jason Volker, to fix a water leak in the kitchen. Jason was thorough in his diagnoses of the problem and fixed it quickly. He also did a complete check of all connections of plumbing fixtures. Although they weren’t leaking at this time they were all original to the 1998 home. I decided to have Jason do a preventive fix of all 1998 connections. He also connected me with a water damage specialist who has determined the depth of the damage. Jason made sure that I knew the next steps I needed to take in making an insurance claim and getting the repairs done. Thanks to Jason I don’t have to look for other repairmen.

Matt came out to inspect my garage doors and did an absolutely fantastic job. He was professional, thorough, and clearly knowledgeable about every aspect of the system. He took the time to explain what he was looking at, identified a couple of small issues before they became big ones, and made sure everything was operating smoothly before he left.
I really appreciated his friendly attitude and attention to detail. It’s rare to find someone who takes that much pride in their work. I highly recommend Matt to anyone needing garage door service—top-notch experience from start to finish!

Amazing company. My fuse box caught on fire ignited. The fuse box was completely fried. I was told by the fire department because it was Thanksgiving and the weekend coming. It’s gonna take a while because PG&E took my meter and it has to be inspected and all the work that needed to be done. Well, Roth sent me the best technicians. Got somebody out there right away James and Tom I don’t understand it, but they managed to replace my fuse box get PG&E back out there to replace the meter make an appointment for the inspection cleaned up the mess very well went around and shut all of my clocks for me because I lost complete power throughout the house. There’s probably more that I haven’t noticed yet. I’m still away from the house because of the smell. They’ve made my life so much easier. My electricians were amazing the wonderful ladies I spoke with at the office were so compassionate. Everybody deserves an award five star company thank you guys.

Terrible Experience — Misleading Promises and Fear-Mongering
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Roth. When I signed up for their membership, I was twice assured over the phone that a duct-cleaning service was included for free. However, the moment I called to schedule my tune-up and duct cleaning, they suddenly “apologized” and claimed the duct service was not complimentary after all. Completely misleading.
It got worse. The technician who came for the tune-up tried to scare my wife into believing we needed an entirely new HVAC system. He claimed our gas furnace was at the end of its life, leaking oil, and even emitting carbon monoxide—serious accusations that would alarm any family. Provided an estimate and asked to contact their vendor asap for a new machine installation. Thankfully, I brought in a different technician the next day for a second opinion. He inspected everything and confirmed that our system was perfectly fine and had none of the issues Roth’s technician claimed.
This kind of upselling through fear tactics is unacceptable. It’s hard to trust a company when their promises change after you sign up and some of their technicians resort to scare tactics to push unnecessary replacements. Proceed with caution.
