- PMPhoebe Mason1 day ago5.0Our Rheem gas furnace went out in middle of January. Called Mike’s and Matthew came out that same afternoon. He quickly figured out that the control board was bad. I was impressed that he didn’t just say “You should get a new furnace” as do so many firms. He found a part from supplier and came back next day. The new board was an upgraded replacement for the original which is no longer available. Matthew had to figure out the placement of all the wires by testing the outputs. He got it running and was on his way. Next problem - the heater wouldn’t shut off. He came back the next morning. We are back in heat! Jocelyn in the office is also great. She arranged for one of their technicians to collect the part up in Salem (where he lives) and bring it down. This saved 2 days of shipping and the charge. She went above and beyond.

He even had to come back a second time, unfortunately, as not everything was cleared. Chris was very professional the entire time!

He checked both systems and they checked out ok. My house was actually beginning to regain heat. All he could figure out was maybe the power outage yesterday affected my system. I had tried for twenty minutes prior to calling Mike’s for service. Though I was quoted an “after hours” price he came before that time and charged me the regular service call. Very much appreciated that helpful accommodation. That’s why I use Mike’s Heating and Air Conditioning for all my HVAC services. Thank you.
