  Having Last Yard pour the foundation for my new studio was a good choice. I have a neighbor who builds bridges check out the finished product and he admired their work. Jacob and his crew work together efficiently and they are a happy team. The finishing touch was at the end of a long hot day. Three of my grandkids wanted their hand prints in the concrete and Jacob patiently had them redo the prints several times to get a truly artistic result.

  “Last Place” Concrete. Do not recommend. Reasons: - Did not put down rebar to code. I kept talking to them about it and they said it would be OK.  Now over eight feet of cracks have formed. - Started pouring 5000 psi concrete at 12pm and did not schedule enough time to wash off the top layer to expose the aggregate the same day.  Concrete dried more quickly than they had knowledge of and now we have over 30% of area where aggregate does not show through.  Could not expose all aggregate the same day due to forgetting to bring the pressure washers. Had to leave work site for three hours to go get pressure washers. Poor workmanship and poor scheduling! - Did not assemble drain line correctly.  Now it collects standing water.  Poor knowledge of assembly and materials! - Quote stated that they would install 25 feet of drain but they only installed 20 feet.  Poor memory, unethical and dishonest! - Entire work crew had insufficient work techniques and created permanent unsightful blemishes.  Ugly, sloppy, rounding of corners on walkway, and expansion seams. - Did not comply with our agreement to clean up all concrete splatter, and put lawn sod back how it was originally. Also broke a lot of our landscaping branches.  Cleaning up after them took many hours and frustration.  They implied that they wanted more money to clean up their own mess.  They are unethical and dishonest!  They appeared to have poor memories and only wanted to get paid first, do the job quickly, and not finish everything as stated above. If you live in a nice neighborhood (i.e. North Albany, Timberhill) and expect a first class look to your finished work then this is not the company you want working on your nice home. If you have a basic rental property that needs basic concrete poured then this company may possibly meet your minimum requirements. Regardless, there are other concrete businesses to consider before falling back on this one, such as: - Gary Grossman - All Star Custom Concrete - Stutzman and Kropf

  The communication from the beginning to the end was fabulous! The work is excellent, we couldn’t be happier with the concrete project they did for us. They even cleaned up after the project was done and so many contractors don’t do this anymore. We highly recommend them for your next project, you won’t regret it!
