You know you've got problems when your garage door opener is not working and that's the only way you know how to get in your house. So I called Anchor and they promptly sent Dan out. Not only did he quickly fix the problem he explained every step in the process of repair. Dan is a valuable employee and Anchor is a good choice.

I called Anchor & Door about a double car garage door that stopped working. The scope of work included, but not limited to, replacement of old broken tensioner spring with new dual springs and additional parts, lubrication, fine adjustment. A few hours afer job completion, I have noticed a minor concern, and upon calling the office, Doug L showed up the very same day and issue was addressed in due time. That is what customer satisfaction is all about, indeed. High quality of workmanship as well as premium parts and components being used throughout are definitely worth mentioning. Last but not least, Doug L is a very knowledgeable professional, highly skilled in his field of work, great personality and easy to work with. I am very pleased with the work completed and I highly recommend this company and for any garage door project needs. Claudiu P ****************************

My sister had an issue with her garage door not opening when pressing button from wall mount inside the garage. Called Anchor after hours. Anchor suggested waiting till next day so wouldn't be charged double for call out. Said they had a couple ideas what it could be. They arrived the next day and simply unplugged and plugged back in the opener and this fixed the issue. Cost $150.00. Clearly they could of suggested this on the phone and if issue wasn't resolved they could of made a house call. To justify their time they lubed the garage door and charged for that as well. I get "call out fee", "minimum time" etc but where did the "decency" go to? I'm not saying it should be free, but where is the customer service? I did call anchor doors and spoke with service manager who advised who was justifying the expense. He informed me that for the next 30 days if there are any issues they would return at no cost. However, the technician failed to share this same statement with my sister. How low can you go? BTW, letting a customer know to unplug the unit and plug it back in won't lead to injury. Cable company does it all the time. Shameless!

Frequently Asked Questions About Anchor Doors & Service Inc.

Are new garage doors safe?

Anchor Doors offers a Family Safe Classic line of doors that are finger-protected. These patented “Finger-Protected” garage doors are designed to prevent your fingers from getting pinched between the joints, inside and out. They also have tamper-resistant cable attachments that cannot be released under tension. This helps prevent accidental injuries. All new garage doors come with brand new hardware to make your door safe.

What is headroom and how much do I need?

Headroom is the distance from the top of your door to the lowest point of the ceiling or any obstructions of the garage door opener rails, such as pipes or ductwork. A door and opener installation usually requires 15″ headroom. In a low headroom situation, we can complete the installation with as little as 5″.
