I had a huge issue with their lack of organization as they didn't update my file with my new number and ended up taking a machine out our job without making contact with me - because they called the wrong number. I have been dealing with them for over 5 years so I found this to be very disappointing as I've been always been great at paying and communicating. Proline is now in Orillia and all over Muskoka with all brand new equipment and great management, I would suggest anyone to go to Proline Rentals - rather than Sunbelt, after my experience. You wont be disappointed.

When I called and booked a concert buggy, I asked if it's suitable for off-road, and they said it would go anywhere. When I got it to the job site, the buggy wouldn't even get up a 5° hill. So we could not use it. When I returned it 3 hours later, I told them what had happened, and they said sorry, sir, but we are still going to have to change you for the day. I understand it's a business, and they have to make money, but come on half day rental, I would be ok to pay. Didn't use it and returned after 3 hours. 🤔
- DJDelwyn JenkinsFeb 13, 20231.0Small JLG Man Lift - Inquired about the $482 delivery charges on my bill just to be told it is what it is. According to Google Maps we are located only 4.1kms from the rental location and we were charged $200 to deliver and another $200 to pick up. On top of that there is also an $82 delivery surcharge. As a business operator I am aware of the current climate but this is just bad business. So a few things learned here. 1. unlike everyone else who's delivery/pickup fees include mileage, labour, fuel, wear and tear, etc. Sunbelts does not. 2. The delivery/pickup formula Sunbelt has applied equates to $117.56 per kilometer which is rediculous. 3. This is why Complete Rentals Orillia has been around since way before Sunbelt and will be here much longer after Sunbelt. For the identical piece of equipment: Sunbelt Rental cost $749.95 plus taxes Complete Rental Orillia $280.00 plus taxes. That's 2.6 times the amount for the same piece of equipment.

What do I need to rent a tool?
All you need is your driver’s license or a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront. No extra deposit is required.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.
To initiate our equipment pickup service, you must confirm the end of your rental via the app or by phone. Additionally, if you have specific delivery instructions or prefer a designated contact person for coordination, please include those details when submitting your reservation.
For businesses utilizing a commercial credit account, associated delivery and pickup fees will be reflected in your invoice.
To receive notifications about your delivery, adjust your settings in your account to receive reminders and updates related to your delivery and pickup.
What happens if a tool breaks or quits working while I am renting it?
Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service. If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
