Whether an emergency or a planned renovation such as a bathroom or kitchen their service has been reliable and professional. They are very good at communicating across all aspects of their business. Education of their customers and the general public on social media, an aspect most businesses overlook, is excellent.

Long story short, my wife's baking day caused a kitchen sink clogging issue. This was December 23rd, so we were fortunate to find a solution for Christmas Eve day. We will say that the individual who arrived to fix the problem did a great job. He was professional, polite, and knew what he was doing. This wasn't the issue. The issue was that for two hours of work, the invoice was just over $1K plus HST. This is typically a $300-$400 job max. After suggesting it was $89 for the service call, which would be waved if it was something more complicated, we were presented with an estimate upon arrival of $1K plus based on this being a 3 hour job. Our assumption was that a sink clog was relatively minor, but we aren't plumbers of course. I didn't realize plumbers had reached hourly senior lawyer rates, so the estimate was surprising (btw, congrats on that). We were hosting Christmas with our family, so we had no choice at this point but to say yes (and to hope that maybe it wasn't a 3 hour job). As noted, the job was done in 2 hours (and it was a job well done). That being said, the estimate for the 3 hour job remained the same (actually it was a bit higher in the end). When questioned about the price, the employee said that it wasn't about the hours, it was about "the job". So, the going rate to unclog a sink with "Out Of This World Plumbing" is just under $1,200 with HST included. Truly, that is "out of this world". But hey, hope you had a great Christmas.
