    I had an excellent experience with Parminder and Clint from Don’s Heating and Cooling. They did outstanding work on our propane fireplace and also serviced our furnace with great care and professionalism. From start to finish, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Their attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right really stood out. It’s not always easy to find technicians you can fully trust, but these two definitely delivered. I highly recommend Don’s Heating and Cooling especially Parminder and Clint for anyone needing reliable, high-quality service. Thanks again for the great work!

    We booked an A/C check up, said we may as well service furnace at the same time. No one said the A/C can’t be checked during cold weather. We would have booked in better weather. Now they service our furnace (which was working well) and say there is some rust from moisture and they tagged the furnace. No heat for at least a day, I get being responsible and liable, but tell us you won’t do the A/C and we would have rebooked. We would still have heat! Our service tech was very thorough but the appointment should have been booked at a later time. That’s on scheduling. Not happy, probably not going to use Dons again 😡

    My furnace wasn't working properly and Don's was responsive and accommodating. They were able to work around my busy schedule and took the time to clearly explain and visually show me the furnace issues. The staff, Andrew, Suri, Aydin and Jessica were very kind and an overall pleasure to work with. Highly recommend 👌 Decisions were made and a new furnace was the solution! They arrived on time, flooring protection was laid, with a recap of the process and the installation had begun. Tim and Richard finished installation of my furnace and thermostat seamlessly! Amber followed up with a service check in and a booking for duct cleaning. Love the one stop shopping, professionalism of all the staff, and non-stop service! Keep up the great work ♥️

    We went with Don's Heating and Cooling for the Carrier brand. The quotes we received were for Carrier heat pump/furnace. We also had them install a new hot water tank. The sales lady attended our house and advised that the venting could go out the side of the house and the hot water tank venting could remain the same and go up the old chimney. When they came to install the new equipment, they could not use existing venting for hot water tank and the venting for the furnace could not go out the side of the house. The 3 venting pipes were run to the back of my house directly beside my sliding patio door on my deck where we eat in the summer. I complained to the manager, their resolution was two free cleanings of the HVAC system. I was at work on the day of the install. When I came home from work, I observed they had installed Napoleon brand furnace and heat pump. When I called the sales person, they advised that I authorized the Napoléon brand install as the Carrie brand was out of stock via a phone call 4 days prior, to which I did not. The sales lady stated that they had a recording of our phone call. The manager called me and advised that they had no record of a phone call to me that day and I showed proof that I had no calls from Don's Heating and Cooling that day, therefore they lied to try and get me to agree to somehow installing the completely wrong equipment. The lady was so rude on the phone calling me a liar and hanging up on me as well. The manager advised there would be no compensation whatsoever for this blasphemy, and that the 2 free services were sufficient. We had the equipment installed because we had a baby due the week after. We then had to reopen our doors with a new born for them to install the right equipment. 4 months later and I still have not received my $1250.00 rebate cheque. There has been absolutely nothing that has gone right with this company. I have never been treated so poorly by a local business. It is a shame that Don sold the company to a larger corporation that doesn't care about its small town reputation. I was told the sales person, with no HVAC experience was reprimanded and retrained. I would think lying that a customer agreed to something that they did not, and stating they had a conversation with approval that did not exist, would be grounds for termination. I suppose not with this company. It has taken me months to write this poor review as the last thing I wanted to do was publicly shame a local company, but they truly do not care about all the hardship they have cause my family. I have given them plenty of time to make things right and advised them I am open to that, but they refuse. They believe two free services is sufficient. The initial agreement for the pricing for the hot water tank rental was $28. They then stated it would be $42. After quite some time back and forth they agreed to honor the price quoted at $28 per month. Don's stated that was compensation. I advised that agreeing to a price you gave me, is not compensation. I would not recommend Don's Heating and Cooling to anyone. Their install technician's were great, but everything else was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Still without the rebate cheque as well 4 months later.

    Our furnace was installed in Sept. 2025. It is still not up to code. It works fine but... An Enercare gas technician red tagged our furnace installation because of missing pressure tag, incorrect chimney cap and missing straps. These issues are now corrected by Enercare and Don's Heating & Cooling. However, an outstanding issue remains which my husband, an electrician, pointed out during installation but which the installers refused to correct. They tacked the electrical wire to the bottom of the joists. This violates 12-514 of the electrical safety code. I did call Don's office but the woman was literally laughing when she said she would order a safety inspection and none has been done to date. And the wire remains incorrectly installed. I read the company's response but we have NOT heard directly from the company. Don's, you have our contact info...... April 9, 2026: Still no response from Don's heating and Cooling. I guess they really don't care if they follow the electrical code or not.
