  I did eventually get the machine that I wanted but it did take longer than desired. The customer service definitely could be improved. I could not help but feel as if my business was a nuisance. Was also not satisfied with the fee structure as how you're paying taxes on top of fees. They also charged me an excessive amount for fuel top up even though the machine was 7/8 full. No way to validate their fuel charge, which was frustrating. Overall, a frustrating experience. Sometimes the job dictates you needing a machine, so you don't have a choice in the matter but buyer be beware, be prepared to be bent over!

  Great place to rent equipment. Smart knowledgeable staff that are friendly outgoing and can offer suggestions or recommendations for equipment usage. Been using for years and always positive feedback. Had a track come off a mini ex and they sent a tech out to repair. Great after sale service.

  Don't give these liars your business, this branch will not stand by their product. I rented a stair climber dolly to move a 700lb safe. When I got it home, I tried it out without a load, it immediately began emitting double beeps (which means low battery voltage), and started to slow down when lifting itself up the stairs. When I plugged it in to the charger, the LED on the charger turned orange (charging indication) and then green (fully charged) after only three minutes or so. I tried the dolly again and it began beeping immediately, and slowing down without a load. I then tried leaving it plugged in for 1.5 hours and tried again, same problem. I put the safe on it and tried lifting the safe, it moved the safe about 3 cm, but then stopped and wouldn't move it again. When I called Hertz about the problem, I was told I could bring it back for a refund, or try to use it and they would make it up to me when I brought it back. The battery has obviously failed, I can't risk having the machine completely quit on the stairs with a 700 lb safe, especially when the stairs are too narrow to bypass the machine, so I brought it back and to my surprise found that they wouldn't give me a full refund as they had promised, because the machine went up and down without a load. I was told "it's beeping, but it still goes up and down" (again, the beeping indicated low battery voltage when it was supposed to be fully charged). They would only give me half my money back. I went to ITE Rentals on Burlington St instead, they were cheaper and had equipment that works! Don't give these crooks your money, if anything goes wrong, you're screwed. Also, I agree with Mark Hall about the service levels. The woman I dealt with was reasonably polite when I was speaking to her, but I stood and waited for quite a while before anyone acknowledged me, and when she finally did, there was no "How can I help you?", she just looked at me and raised her eyebrows as if to say "You're intruding, why are you bothering me?". This may come from dealing with roughnecks all day, and whether or not that's the intended message, it's the one that's conveyed. A a little customer service training would go a long way here.

  Poor service levels. You walk in, you wait and forget about being greeted in any way. It's more of an inconvenience to ask a question. Unless you know what you want in advance, a walk-in to this location is asking for trouble.
