- RSRyan SmithApr 15, 20193.0My experience with United Rentals Guelph was mixed. The staff are professional and the customer service was excellent. The equipment was (almost) in excellent condition. The issue was that the equipment I was renting (in this case a 2-yr old stump grinder), wouldn't start after about 20 min of use. After some standard checks I noticed that it wasn't just low on oil - it was devoid of oil. I filled it, but the thing wouldn't start after that. A 10 second maintenance check would have caught the problem, but obviously that didn't happen (now I know to check before I leave the yard). The return was straight forward and they offered a full refund with very few questions. Based on the customer service alone this would be a 5 star review, but the lapse in quality control is tough to ignore. All those arrangements for 20 minutes of stump grinding.
