- WLWB L.Feb 21, 20201.0Despite my number being on the Do Not Call List a telemarketing agent from HVAC Rentals called me. He told me that he needed to do a maintenance check on my hot water tank and asked if I would be available Sunday or Monday. When I asked whether the company is the owner of the tank and he said yes and they needed to do a maintenance check. I know he was lying as I actually own my water tank and just ask the question to test his honesty. He just lied to book an appointment with me so they would gain access to my home and equipment. Since they are no longer allowed by law to knock at people's door they are using this new technique to gain access. He hung up when I confronted him with the fact. March 2, 2020 update… received another unsolicited call again from a call centre agent representing HVAC Rentals. The agent is using the same tactic attempting to book an appointment with me to gain access to my it water tank. I asked you speak with the manager on duty and told her, in clear term that my number is on the do not call list and they are in violation of the do not call regulation in Canada and should never call my number again. How can you trust a company who knowingly violate the laws!
