Rudy and company did an outstanding job. One thing I appreciate was the speed in which he did his job, and asking for my input as well as preferences. He also cleaned up the area better than what he found. Thank you for a great repair experience.

He and his coworker worked hard nonstop except to take lunch. Did a thorough job and cleaned up after themselves. Showed me the equipment and how simple the thermostat was to use. I’d recommend them to anyone.

We asked airco for a $99 hvac system checkup. We promptly paid the invoice. However, that evening, we discovered that the technician had accidentally disconnected our AC system. When we called airco, they apologized profusely and immediately came out again the next day to fix it (for free). This is a VERY HONEST AND HONORABLE BUSINESS. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Not too thrilled about the service I just had with this company. So, I went with Airco since I heard ACS likes to try and only sell people on units. My AC started blowing air that wasn’t cold, so a gentleman with glasses and tattoos came out. He went straight to the backyard and unit. I asked if he would like to see the indoor unit at all, he said no. Looks inside outdoor unit and says “capacitors bad.” He also told me that I was low on Freon. He initially said it would be 341 to fix the capacitor but had some sort of “coupon” and knocked it down to 291 and some change. He leaves, but not before saying he can add Freon, and this will show inconsistency in a moment, and the total would go up to close to 600 dollars. He said I was low on Freon by about three pounds. I asked how much does it hold. He said six. I asked how much I had. He said about three. I told the man I was interested in getting a whole new unit next summer and just need enough freon to get to the cold season. He said I should hold off and the amount of Freon I had left should last till then. For about an hour it did run cool, but then the flow of air started thinning out to where I could barely feel it at all. I open the closet to where the indoor unit is. An exposed pipe is now frosting over so much that I could wipe all of the frost off onto my fingers. Something that hasn’t happened before. So, I call them back. Sure enough they get a second gentleman to come out. I explain to him the last person told me I had a faulty capacitor and he said that wasn’t the problem. I do have this stuff recorded, as it’s easy for anyone to lie in this day and age. He goes out, just says the reason for all of this is a leak in the system. So I ask this newest person who came out if they can put back on my old capacitor and instead just see about the leak and adding Freon. He said they can’t take back the capacitor. I’m thinking, great. Spent this money for nothing. 291 down the drain. The second person to come out adds 2 1/2 pounds of Freon. I asked this guy before he left how much it would cost to add Freon, AND GET THIS, he said “it’s 205 dollars just to hook up the tubes. JUST TO HOOK UP THE FREON! Then it’s 79 dollars per pound of Freon. No one bothered to look at the indoor unit which is where I think the leak is, but boy they sure were quick to call and get someone out to try and finance me a new unit. So as of today, as I’m writing this, the current Freon is about to go out. Got hot weather coming again and I’m out 291 dollars for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, but a day and a half of cool air. They could’ve done an in depth look to see where the leak was and how much it would cost to fix it. They couldn’t be bothered by the inside unit, which was leaking. They never got down to the root of the problem. Just seems like they want to get that service call money or to sell a unit (which I was not approved for). Oh and right after service (which I have proof of this as well), I get bombarded with texts asking if I had a chance to think about the recommendations the first guy to come out went over with me. I didn’t respond, but no one ever went over recommendations with me, outside of needing Freon added. The first guy didn’t even ask to fix any leak, let alone look. Just wanted to charge me for some Freon on top of the capacitor he put on that didn’t even need to be changed. As of right now, I can’t recommend these people. I do have recordings and texts incase I need to see what further options are, but nothing got done for the money I spent. By the way, I mentioned inconsistencies in the two services I had. First guy wanted to charge me 341 for the capacitor and up it to - I believe - 586 to add 3 pounds of Freon, since he said I had 3 as of his visit. That’s a difference of 245 dollars. Second guy said to add Freon it would be 205 to hook up the hoses and 79 dollars per pound of Freon. Now if I truly had 3 pounds of Freon in my system already that’d be 442 dollars. They said they’d refund my 291, but in the form of knocking it off the price of a future unit.
