- PSPeter StudebakerJul 14, 20255.0I rebuilt my backyard fence a couple of months back after storm winds knocked down my old one. I was in a hurry to rebuild to protect neighborhood children from my covered pool. I thought about rebuilding with wood and priced material from Home Depot, Big Bob's Fence (see my positive review for them), and from Lawton Home Lumber. At Lawton Home Lumber, we went over the price that the wood would cost. These prices were very fair, particularly for the quality and the option for delivery and the time saved by not going through the piles of lumber pickets one-by-one at the big box stores. I worked closely with Anthony and Steve at Lawton Home Lumbar. In the end, I went with a welded frame fence with steel panels. The steel panels are available in a variety of colors that can either blend or stand out from the rest of the neighborhood. My dad and I ended up spending hours consulting Steve for his expertise in all the details about putting up the fence and I'm completely satisfied with the final product. People in my neighborhood have been very complimentary about the quality of the fence. The materials are pricier than wood but will last for a lifetime. This was a tremendous project with hundreds of man hours doing demolition, measuring, renting a hydraulic post hole digger, laying concrete, cutting metal, welding, painting, and placing the steel panels. Throughout it all, everybody at Lawton Home Lumber was friendly, supportive, and even came and visited me at home to see how things were coming along and to help avoid pitfalls in construction along the way. I can't thank Anthony and Steve enough for their help in helping me get my fence constructed. The prices were fair and the military discount greatly appreciated, the quality of the material is outstanding, it was nice to have the materials delivered right to my doorstep, and the feedback and help along the way was priceless. I'm proud to offer an unconditional recommendation for Lawton Home Lumbar!
