- JSJames SumpterDec 17, 20251.0Had a lot of trouble with the machine breaking down. Mechanic told me it was picked up and not inspected. Brought from on site to mine. Robert the Mechanic is a great guy. I helped him diagnose and repair. The machine was left here for 6 days after I told them I was done with it. I checked the hours and fuel yesterday and made a decision to call the office on December 16. Jeff and I could not get along. He hung up on me at one point when we were going back and forth is a small argument. They wanted to charge me for 22 gallons of diesel. I filliled it up the night I finished. I have video proof. The machine sat in front of a camera for the six days. It was not touched at any point during. Jeff still argued that it was not full of diesel. That was not true. After several hours of back and forth arguing and corporate involvement we finally came to an agreement. I have never had much trouble with this company I have rented from them before. Jeff and Justin are not very good with speaking to customers. Yes I too was angry. I feel there should have been a better attempt to defuse a situation instead of bringing it out up to more angry levels. I will not rent from Herc of Lawton again. I'm not saying anyone should do the same. I am just merely sharing my experience. I also did threaten to charge them storage. I also have a bill for $1200 for repairs I will eat. I needed to finish the job by the 10th. So I made the choice to have it repaired
